Book excerpt: The Melt Down (a Supernatural force and an emotional force) was witnessed by my stepdad and I. I perceived it to be a message from God. The Evil Crow that I witnessed was also witnessed by my brother Mike. Satan's Demon Spirit was confirmed by the priest when I was locked up for six months in DeKalb County Jail. You, the reader, will have to distinguish between the Supernatural and the Natural. I know in my heart that whatever happens in life is God's Will. Things happen for a reason. I challenge my audience to decipher in their own minds, whether or not the unbelievable is believable. I believe the Melt Down was God pulling on my right arm and I also believe The Evil Crow, not to mention Satan's Demon Spirit was Satan pulling on my left arm. You can be sure my book, Realism, will give you a profound decision as to what really occurred in my Supernatural Realm. If nothing else my book, Realism, will show you and enlighten you as to how powerful God's spiritual realm actually is and how God is most masterful in everything He does.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First Voices is an amazingly good work with impressive writing skills that immediately places it as a valuable work to own. It puts Biblical characters and events in a fresh perspective. This is an impressive work that appears to be another Testament. First Voices tells the story of Adam and Eve, Shem and Eber, Noah and the Flood, Sarah, Keturah, Hagar and Abraham, The Minos of Crete, Nimrod and Canaan, Chedorlaomer and the city of Babylon, Esau and Jacob Judah and Shua, the Pharoah and Joseph, the Tower of Babel, the great war of Abraham, the tragedy of Lot, the thinker Jacob and independent Judah. Many other stories presents an uncanny insight into the world's first personalities. This book transcends intelligence and religious narrative. It is a master's craft at its best. First Voices is a great achievement into the world of Biblical literature. Historic events are rendered in grand depictions in epic porportions. It offers an insightful penetration into the word of God and seems to be a separate Testament speaking to the world how God interacts with mankind in real life. First Voices is a beautiful, wonderful, poetic work. And perhaps, the greatest Biblical epic ever written!

Book excerpt: God doesn't bless us to raise our standard of living. God blesses us to raise our standard of giving, and that's where true joy is found. The New York Times bestselling author of Chase the Lion challenges us not to settle for half of what God offers when it comes to blessings—we are BLESSED to BLESS. His discovery started with a simple experiment. Whenever Batterson received a blessing, he would give a similar blessing away. If someone paid him a compliment or gave him a gift or went out of their way to help him, he would return the favor by doing something similar for someone else. We flip the blessing by blessing others in the way God has blessed us. That’s how the blessing becomes a double blessing. It turns giving into a game—one we can’t win because God will always outgive us! It’s an ancient truth found within the Abrahamic covenant: “I will bless you . . . and you will be a blessing.” In other words, we are blessed to bless. The first blessing is receiving, but it doesn’t end there. The second blessing is giving it away! That’s the double blessing. And that’s where double joy is found. In a day and age where the idea of blessing has been reduced to a hashtag (#blessed), Batterson challenges readers to pursue true, God-glorifying blessing and experience an exponential impact by participating in the double blessing. Don’t settle for half of what God offers. Discover how you can both get it and give it . . . in Double Blessing. This edition includes discussion questions!

Book excerpt: The remarkable extension in depth and width of Muslim intellectual life can be fathomed and measured only against the background of what went on immediately before, and simultaneously elsewhere, or it will remain, in any real sense, unexplored." This statement by the late Franz Rosenthal is, in a sense, the red thread of the present volume which unites 35 articles by renowned scholars of Islamic Studies, Middle Eastern Languages and Civilizations, and various allied fields of research in honour of a scholar congenial to Franz Rosenthal and exemplary in his scientific carefulness and integrity: Dr Gerhard Endress, Professor of Oriental Philology and Islamic Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum. Central topics of the contributions include Arabic philosophy and its Greek sources and Latin reception, the history and historiography of Arabic-Islamic science, and Islamic concepts of language, knowledge, science and pedagogy. Other articles deal with qur'anic studies, Arabic lexicography and linguistics, the history of Middle Eastern civilizations, the medieval translation movements from Greek into Arabic and from Arabic into Latin as well as with political and eschatological theories of medieval Islam. Rooted in different scientific traditions and methodological approaches the studies collected in this Festschrift form a vivid and stimulating synopsis of more than 1000 years of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean intellectual, social and cultural history.

This book was released on 2015-03-26 with total page 1000 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Volume 36 Sermons 2121-2181 Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach every one in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.
