Weiterhin liegt der Schwerpunkt auf den sozialpädagogischen Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Bearbeitung von Bindungsstörungen am Beispiel bindungstheoretischer Arbeit in der Heimerziehung. In der stationären Jugendhilfe haben es Erzieher/innen und Sozialpädagogen/innen mit Kindern und Jugendlichen zu tun, die meist negative Bindungserfahrungen wie Trennungen, Zurückweisungen, Vernachlässigungen oder Misshandlungen erlebt haben. Sie stellen sich der Herausforderungen, diesen Mädchen und Jungen eine auf längere Zeit angelegte Lebensform zu bieten und sie auf ein selbstständiges Leben vorzubereiten (vgl. Marburger §34 S. 2 Nr. 3 SGBVIII). Die Kinder und Jugendliche sind häufig in unterschiedlichen Bereichen in ihrer Entwicklung verzögert und zeigen meist Symptome von Bindungsstörungen auf, da sie wenig Fürsorge von den Bindungspersonen erhalten haben (vgl. Unzner, S. 348). Der erste Teil der Arbeit wird eingeleitet mit einer Definition zum Begriff Trauma und wird sich dann mit der Theorie von Bindung befassen. Ein theoretischer Überblich soll helfen, die wichtigsten Annahmen der Bindungstheorie zu verstehen und die Wichtigkeit früher Bindungserfahrungen für den Lebenslauf von Mädchen und Jungen zu verdeutlichen. In Kapitel 4. Werden Traumatisierungen aufgeführt, die zu Bindungsstörungen führen können. In Kapitel 5. wird sich mit der Widerstandsfähigkeit (Resilienz) beschäftigt, bevor der zweite Teil der Arbeit, sich mit der bindungstheoretischen Arbeit in der Heimerziehung befasst. Es geht um Heimerzieher/innen als Bindungspersonen und um die im Heim möglichen bindungsgeleiteten Interventionen und korrigierenden Bindungserfahrungen. Es stellt sich die Frage, ob es im Rahmen der Heimerziehung möglich ist, eine verlässliche Bindungsbeziehung herzustellen und ob die Heimerzieher/innen überhaupt die Funktion von Bindungspersonen für die Ihnen anvertrauten Kinder und Jugendliche übernehmen können. Im abschließenden Fazit wird anhand der gewonnenen Erkenntnisse auf den Zusammenhang zwischen Traumatisierungen und der Entstehung von Bindungsstörungen eingegangen.
