Book excerpt: The last thing Firekeeper and Blind Seer ever thought would happen was that they would end up as part of a small alliance united to hold the gates of the Nexus Islands against the massed might of the Old World nations. If the alliance is to have any hope of success, Firekeeper and Blind Seer must first find a way to break querinalo: the arcane plague that tortures the body and soul of any who possess even the slightest trace of magical talent. If querinalo is not vanquished, the Nexus Islands will fall – opening the New World to invasion. This is not the first seemingly impossible challenge the wolf-woman has faced, but this time she may face it without Blind Seer at her side. When querinalo touched the blue-eyed wolf, Blind Seer discovered an aspect of himself that he will not speak of to anyone – not even to Firekeeper. As the rumbles of invasion shake the gates of the Nexus Islands, Firekeeper stands not only in danger of losing home and friends, but also of losing the partner of her heart.

Their main purpose is to kill as many wolves as possible by setting traps in the woods, and then sell their skin. While on their money-making trip in the Canadian wilderness, the two boys run into a variety of problems and obstacles but an elder Indian man they meet on the way will help them with their hunt. James Oliver Curwood (1878 - 1927) was an American writer as well as an unwavering nature lover and conservationist. As such, many of Curwood’s action-adventure stories were based on real events from the rugged landscapes of the American Northwest. He built himself Curwood Castle, which he used as a writing studio and as a place to greet guests. More than 150 motion pictures have been adapted to or directly inspired by his novels.

Book excerpt: Demons play tricks. This fact has been pounded into eight-year-old Zevadiah Stoll’s head. When he’s tasked with his first solo hunt, he knows to be wary. He’ll either emerge victorious, or he’ll die. But his target isn’t clear. Zevadiah thinks the wolfish boy he discovers is a victim. He refuses to heed the signs: the boy’s feral nature, the cut on his cheek that heals before Zevadiah’s eyes. Zevadiah simply doesn’t want to kill the boy, and he doesn’t. That decision changes his life forever. Zevadiah isn’t the hunter he’s supposed to be, and memories of the boy haunt him fifteen years later. Their next meeting is inevitable. Zevadiah intends to free himself by whatever means necessary, but Fate has a different plan. — Hunter x Wolf is a gay (MM) paranormal romance with spice and that urban fantasy flair. Zevadiah is a human and a hunter with an ironically kind heart. Kenji is a fun-loving wolf shifter who’s sure to make you smile. And, of course, they’re Soulmates. If you like your romance built on top of a world of magic and a healthy helping of action, you’re in the right place. Intended for readers 18+. — ABOUT THE SERIES Fate has been compromised. Soulmates are supposed to meet when and how Fate commands. However, the world of Trinity is broken. Some Soulmates are still on course, but others have been cut off. The Matchmaker Witch’s mission is to bring as many lost Soulmates together as possible and therefore fix Fate before the world is destroyed. While By the Matchmaker Witch is a series, each book works as a standalone and will have either an HFN or HEA. However, some subplots may be ongoing. It would be best to read this series in order to avoid any spoilers.
