Book Synopsis Dart Tournament Results for Eastern Europe and the Baltic States by : Nigel Boeg
Download or read book Dart Tournament Results for Eastern Europe and the Baltic States written by Nigel Boeg and published by BookRix. This book was released on 2019-09-21 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has been compiled to provide details of tournament winners and runners up of tournaments played in Eastern Europe and Baltic States. Every effort has been used to identify winners and runners up of tournaments and in some cases there will be results “missing”. If these can be identified they will be included in another edition of this book in the future. There maybe errors with names being mispelt and that ladies surnames may have changed but I've put in an enormous time and effort to correctly record the results of the tournaments. There are probably other tournaments that have been played in these countries but I've only been able to identify these ones. Research that has been completed for this book is to provide the reader and dart enthuiast information on books and links to web sites of dart manufacturers, Professional Bodies and Organisations, dart stores, and Country Darts Organisations. This is not a comprehensive list but it begins the work of collating details of darts into one place instead of being scattered around the World Wide Web across many sites and publications. I hope you enjoy the book.

Book Synopsis Tomás Císarovský Tradition Is a Part of the Present by :
Download or read book Tomás Císarovský Tradition Is a Part of the Present written by and published by . This book was released on 2020-02-18 with total page 434 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This representative monograph offers an exciting look at thirty years of works by a central figure of Czech postmodern art, Tomás Císarovský. Since the beginning of his artistic career, Císarovský has been fascinated by the medium of painting and has systematically worked to reintroduce traditional painting genres onto the Czech art scene. He is especially known for his unusually outstanding use of color and his ability to incorporate experiences from contemporary art into the long tradition of Western painting. Císarovský is also one of painting's greatest storytellers, as evidenced by his cycles in which he turns to recent history and explores the relationship between the past and the present. In one recent series, for instance, he takes an original approach to capturing various moments from the life of playwright and president Václav Havel. Císarovský uses the force of the imagination to confront collective memory with iconic images, inserting a sense of uncertainty into solidly fixed and historically codified images. His work is democratically open, intellectually contemplative, and morally provocative.
Book Synopsis The Bifidobacteria and Related Organisms by : Paola Mattarelli
Download or read book The Bifidobacteria and Related Organisms written by Paola Mattarelli and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2017-09-20 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bifidobacteria and Related Organisms: Biology, Taxonomy, Applications brings together authoritative reviews on all aspects of Bifidobacteria and related genera. Their place within the Phylum Actinobacteria is discussed first, and this is followed by descriptions of the genera Bifidobacterium, Alloscardovia, Aeriscardovia, Bombiscardovia, Gardnerella, Metascardovia, Parascardovia and Scardovia and the currently accredited species within those genera. The increased availability of genome sequences and molecular tools for studying bifidobacteria provides important information about their taxonomy, physiology and interactions with their host. Also considerations about common bifidobacterial core maintenance during the mutual coevolution of a host and its intestinal microbes could be relevant for health claims for the ability of symbiotic gut bacteria to provide health benefits to their host, and for evaluating such claims in scientifically valid experiments. Chemotaxonomy is important to our understanding of these genera and so is considered along with physiological and biochemical aspects before proceeding to examine clinical and other practical aspects. The ability to maintain pure cultures and to grow cells in industrial quantities when required for applications requires that the cells' environmental and nutritional needs are well understood. Some species are important clinically and as animal digestive tract synbionts—and even play a part in honey production—so these matters are considered along with milk oligosaccharides' roles in gut flora development in neonates. - Presents information on all bacteria in this group in one place - Provides applications and technological considerations placed alongside more academic matters such as nomenclature and phylogeny - Includes basic information on the beneficial role of bifidobacteria in the human gut, with particular importance for infants - Provides information on genomic and gene modification technologies

Book Synopsis Drug Discovery in Cancer Epigenetics by : Gerda Egger
Download or read book Drug Discovery in Cancer Epigenetics written by Gerda Egger and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2015-11-19 with total page 499 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Drug Discovery in Cancer Epigenetics is a practical resource for scientists involved in the discovery, testing, and development of epigenetic cancer drugs. Epigenetic modifications can have significant implications for translational science as biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis or therapy prediction. Most importantly, epigenetic modifications are reversible and epigenetic players are found mutated in different cancers; therefore, they provide attractive therapeutic targets. There has been great interest in developing and testing epigenetic drugs, which inhibit DNA methyltransferases, histone modifying enzymes or chromatin reader proteins. The first few drugs are already FDA approved and have made their way into clinical settings. This book provides a comprehensive summary of the epigenetic drugs currently available and aims to increase awareness in this area to foster more rapid translation of epigenetic drugs into the clinic. - Highlights the potential of epigenetic alterations in cancer for drug development - Covers the tools and methods for epigenetic drug discovery, preclinical and clinical testing, and clinical implications of epigenetic therapy - Provides important information regarding putative epigenetic targets, epigenetic technologies, networks and consortia for epigenetic drug discovery and routes for translation
