Book excerpt: BISMILLAH IRR RAHMAN IR RAHMIN 30 Days of Taleem is a unique kid-friendly book, packed with traditional study and fun learning activities. Using 30 days of Taleem will help children to reflect on right and wrong, good and evil. The guidance will help them to determine our life priorities and our own set of values as Muslims. For each day, there are eight pages of learning: ● Holy Qur'an: Each day starts with Bismillah and the recitation of the Holy Qur'an (in Arabic with English translation). Large clear text, easy to read. ● Hadith: Short Hadith, each one carefully chosen to instill understanding and thought. Each Hadith also has a different thought-provoking question for the reader to think about and answer, helping to expand their knowledge. ● Important Islamic prayers: Important everyday prayers, teaching children the best words to use in many different situations of life. Inspiring and uplighting, these prayers help a child to express their inner feelings. Each prayer is written in Arabic, Roman script, and English translation. ● Activity sheets: Good early learning experiences help children's brains to develop well. To help stimulate children's minds and build love and enjoyment in learnin, there are three daily activity sheets of mazes, word searches, and mindfulness colouring worksheets. Mindfulness colouring sheets help a child to de-stress and calm down, navigate difficult emotions, control impulses, focus on what matters, and nurture empathy, kindness, and joy. ● Daily journal: A simple but incredibly powerful tool that has been used by Islam Mahmood in the past, designed to help a child draw nearer to Allah (swt) and improve their Iman. By forming this foundational habit of journaling, you will notice your child build on other good habits much easier each day, InshAllah. It is truly an incredible joy to go back and read previous entries in a journal, for both a child and their parents! A book should answer questions, but a good book should also create questions. InshAllah, children will have many relevant questions as they progress through the book. Therefore, it is a good idea for parents/teachers to be involved while children are studying this book. It will also help to create warm emotional bonds between adults and kids when they read and study together. Every single letter and page of the book has been entered manually, meaning clear, bright, and crisp text in large format. BUY NOW TO IMPROVE YOUR CHILDS IMAN. PERFECT FOR RAMADAN. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Islam Mahmood has been a Muslim youth leader for over 15 years, working across the South of England. Over the years, he has held hundreds of classes in which he has taught children the basic principles of Islam. Through these classes, he has gained a unique insight into the best strategies for teaching and keeping children's attention. Of course, being a good teacher is not easy. Instead of just telling, Islam's books will help you to explain, demonstrate and inspire children. Using the same style used in his classes, these books will help improve children's knowledge through visual, aural, verbal, logical, independent, and social learning styles.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores matters that have negatively affected the public image and led to distorted depictions of Islam from the late nineteenth century to the present. The areas of uneasiness and debate among Muslims and non-Muslims alike include Islamic values and identity in the post-caliphate era, after colonialism, and now under Western hegemony. There is anxiety about the place of Shari’a in the light of Western law and the state, secularism, democracy, human rights, the equality of women, and the place of Islamic education in transmitting Islamic values as secular education dominates societies. There are apprehensions over the relation between religion and politics as in the rise of Muslim Brotherhoods, Wahhabism, Islamism, al-Qaeda, and Islamic State. In non-Muslim countries concerns are about the status of Muslim marriage, polygamy, divorce, and interest (in business). Every topic is examined through the Noble Qur’an and the Hadith, classical writings, and linguistic analysis.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book outlines the basic Islamic concepts in child education. The author has tried to coordiante the main ideas, as well as the basics precepts for raising Muslim children in all the different spheres of life. First of all, the importance of correct belief and faith cannot be inculcated in young children except through the teaching and example of their parents; and obviously, the role of the mature and religious mother is foremost. This state of harmony can only be achieved when matrimonial relations are relatively stable. Care is to be taken in providing young children with all the necessary elements in the fields of ethical, physical and psychological education. This cannot be overemphasized. It is established that the common ailments of human societies, personal as well as social, find their remedy in monotheism and justice. Therefore, emphasis on these two moral principles is essential. Muslim children must develop a clear understanding of the concept of the oneness of Allah, mainly through the performance of devotional acts of worship, to Him, and through developing a sense of justice in all personnel and social dealings. The author has succinlty outlined these glorious concepts in this book. Through his deep understanding of Islam, and his eminent conviction and personal adherence to its glorious principles, he introduces this book to the readers, with all practical instructions, with the intention of helping to build up a Muslim nation, worthly to uphold the honorable tenets of the Glorious Qur'an and Sunnah. This book, "Child Education in Islam," by Abdullah Nasih Ulwan, is a replication. It has been restored by human beings, page by page, so that you may enjoy it in a form as close to the original as possible.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Religion of Islam is based upon Five Primary Foundations or Pillars. Just as a building or a bridge would lack stability without strong pillars, a Muslim's relationship with Allah, his God, would lack a focus and a secure connection without the observance of and adherence to these fundamental Five Pillars. These Five Pillars or religious duties are mandatory. Every Muslim must follow and practice them with the utmost devotion. Failure to comply and practice any of these dictates can be considered the commission of serious sin, some resulting even in the expulsion of a believer from the fold and faith of Islam. Like the Ten Commandments of the Jewish and Christian faiths, these Pillars provide a spiritual foundation and a framework to guide a Muslim's life. Fulfillment of these Five Pillars provides blessings and rewards for those who follow them in both this life and the next. These Pillars help Muslims establish a closer relationship with their Creator and build a spiritual connection with Him. A faithful Muslim prioritizes these Pillars over all worldly matters, principles, or regulations in their lives, as they form the foundation and starting point for all other good deeds and acts of worship to their Creator. ?? Rayan Travels the World to Learn the Five Pillars of Islam ?? An Islamic Book That Teaches Children about the Five Pillars of Islam, by The Sincere Seeker Kids Collection, teaches Muslim kids the basic foundations of Islam in a fun, easy, and engaging way. It is presented in the form of a story about Rayan, who embarks on a journey worldwide with a wise white owl to learn about the Five Pillars of Islam in a unique and fun way.

Drawing upon new research in psychology, education, and cognitive science, the authors have demystified a complex topic into clear explanations of seven powerful learning principles. Full of great ideas and practical suggestions, all based on solid research evidence, this book is essential reading for instructors at all levels who wish to improve their students' learning." —Barbara Gross Davis, assistant vice chancellor for educational development, University of California, Berkeley, and author, Tools for Teaching "This book is a must-read for every instructor, new or experienced. Although I have been teaching for almost thirty years, as I read this book I found myself resonating with many of its ideas, and I discovered new ways of thinking about teaching." —Eugenia T. Paulus, professor of chemistry, North Hennepin Community College, and 2008 U.S. Community Colleges Professor of the Year from The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education "Thank you Carnegie Mellon for making accessible what has previously been inaccessible to those of us who are not learning scientists. Book excerpt: This exercise workbook is intended to be used in a groups study setting with one of the two main study editions. The role of Islaam in today's world is something, which is indisputable and often contested. Yet there are many different understanding of Islaam which range from dangerous extremism, which distorts the religion, all the way to vulnerable laxity, which nullifies many of the authentic beliefs and practices of revealed guidance. This is a inevitable result of the many voices in the world today that claim to speak for Islaam. As such, it is a blessing for Muslims today that our well-known scholars continue to work diligently in examining openly and clarifying the false ideas and practices that are attributed to Islaam by both non-Muslims and by Muslims themselves. For every Muslim who wishes to live their life in a way pleasing to Allaah it is essential that they ensure that their beliefs and practices actually have evidence and support from within the sources of Islaam. This work approaches this challenge in a way that allows an individual to proceed through discussions related to this a day at a time over thirty day, based upon the explanation of one of today's noble scholars. This book also includes seven essential appendixes that cover important issues and guidance related to weighing and assessing the many of claims of what is "Islamic" today.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides strong arguments for giving prayer a central place in the education and nurture of children. It is based on research in Australian Catholic, parent-controlled Christian, Independent, Jewish, Muslim and government schools. The author demonstrates focused attention and care in the data collection from the words of children and their drawings of people praying. She takes us through her thorough processes of analysis and synthesis. The research shows that prayer is valued by all children, whether they come from a religious background or not. For some children it is a way of associating with their communities and traditions of faith. For others, prayer is practised in an individualistic manner. Prayer is a way to perceive and respond to the experiences of life. It can help in dealing with the challenging emotional states of anxiety, loneliness, fear, anger and guilt. It can give hope for the future. It provides a way of seeking help for others, as well as expressing praise and thanksgiving. Vivienne Mountain has a background in teaching and in clinical counselling. She lectures in Spirituality and Ministry with Children at Stirling Theological College, University of Divinity, Australia. She has published three books as well as contributing chapters to a number of others and articles for national and international journals.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Course Syllabi in Faculties of Education problematizes one of the least researched phenomena in teacher education, the design of course syllabi, using critical and decolonial approaches. This book looks at the struggles that scholars, policy makers, and educators from a diverse range of countries including Australia, Canada, India, Iran, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the USA, and Zambia face as they design course syllabi in higher education settings. The chapter authors argue that course syllabi are political constructions, representing intense sites of struggles over visions of teacher education and visions of society. As such, they are deeply immersed in what Walter Mignolo calls the “geopolitics of knowledge”. Authors also show how syllabi have become akin to contractual documents that define relations between instructors and students Based on a set of empirically grounded studies that are compared and contrasted, the chapters offer a clearer picture of how course syllabi function within distinct socio-political, economic, and historical contexts of practice and teacher education.
