This book was released on 1961 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Published data have been used to calculate K factors for the hydrogen-nitrogen system over the liquid-vapor range of 68.2 to 122.2°K, and 10 to 225 atmospheres. K factors are presented graphically for eleven isotherms within this range. Published data on the solid0gas and solid-liquid regions are presented separately as a composition versus pressure at constant temperature. A bibliography of 250 references pertaining to the hydrogen-nitrogen system is included.

Book Synopsis Thermal Feasibility of Using Methane Or Hydrogen Fuel for Direct Cooling of a First-stage Turbine Stator by : Raymond Strong Colladay
Download or read book Thermal Feasibility of Using Methane Or Hydrogen Fuel for Direct Cooling of a First-stage Turbine Stator written by Raymond Strong Colladay and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The feasibility of cooling the first-stage turbine stator directly with cryogenic fuels is investigated based on a numerical heat transfer analysis of methane-and hydrogen-cooled vanes. An insulation barrier between the fuel cooling passages and the external vane surface was required to prevent adverse cooling conditions. The cooling configuration analyzed was that of tubular cooling passages embedded in insulation material surrounded by an outer vane shell. The results indicated that the turbine stator vanes could be adequately cooled with methane or hydrogen fuel at a 2490' F (1639K) local-hot-spot gas temperature.

Book Synopsis Thermodynamic Properties of Gaseous Nitrogen by : Harold William Woolley
Download or read book Thermodynamic Properties of Gaseous Nitrogen written by Harold William Woolley and published by . This book was released on 1956 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The tables of thermal properties of molecular nitrogen that have been prepared in an NBS-NACA series have been grouped together herein for convenient use. They include the thermodynamic functions for the gas, both real and ideal, the transport properties for a gas, and the vapor pressure of the liquid and the solid. A table of ideal-gas properties is presented, including the specific heat at constant pressure, enthalpy, entropy, and the free-energy function; and a table giving these same properties for atomic nitrogen is also included. The tables of the real-gas thermodynamic properties include density, compressibility factor, entropy, enthalpy, specific heat at constant presssure, ratio of specific heats, and velocity of sound at very low frequency.
