So stößt die Habitustheorie beispielsweise auf großen Widerstand bei Positivisten, die auf die uneingeschränkte Freiheit des menschlichen Handelns bestehen und deshalb mit Bourdieus zweifelsohne desillusionierenden Theorien wenig anfangen können. Auch Bourdieus Untersuchungsgebiete bei seinen Ausarbeitungen zum Modell des sozialen Raumes sind unkonventionell. So untersucht er das für wissenschaftliche Ausarbeitungen untypische Feld der Geschmäcker und leitet aus seinen Forschungsergebnissen einen gesamtgesellschaftlichen Theorieansatz ab. Zuerst wird in dieser Hausarbeit allerdings auf Bourdieus Habitustheorie eingegangen. Diese dient als Basis für die weiteren Ausführungen.
