These sources include approximately 18 books, multiple articles, and an extensive review of my state's penal code as well as the federal laws related to identity theft.Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S., however, New York treats cybercrime as a civil offense, not a criminal one. I worked with the New York State Assembly and Senate drafting legislation to make cybercrime a felony. I outline my concurrent vision loss while highlighting this oversight in the New York Penal Code. People need to know they aren't protected. This memoir brings to light cracks in outdated identity theft laws, showcasing an urgent need for change. The author outlines steps we may take to protect ourselves from identity theft in these turbulent times.With an M.A. in Psychology and a Paralegal certification, both from Marist College, as well as my B.S. in Criminology (U. of Wisconsin), I was served well while researching Identity Theft: A Victims Search For Justice, my first book.

Through close analysis of arguments by Indigenous scholars and activists from the nineteenth century to the present, Robert Nichols argues that dispossession has come to name a unique recursive process whereby systematic theft is the mechanism by which property relations are generated.
