Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Gordon Crossland was growing up in the 1940’s in Orillia, Ontario, the town was not about to embrace a boy wanting to be a figure skater or ballet dancer. Male figure skaters were so rare that boys’ figures skates were hard to come by. However, Gordon had a dream and luckily, he also had supportive parents who would dye girls’ skates black for him. All he had to do was learn to skate faster than the bullies who tried to trip him on the ice. From these humble beginnings, Gordon, an ever-evolving, passionately committed artist became a top skater with the Ice Follies. He transitioned into highly successful careers of dancing with the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera Ballet Companies in England, as well as choreographing and skating in popular productions world–wide. It’s a journey spotted with moments of hilarity, high drama and occasional deep sorrow. A Nobody’s Dream Came True is a case study of a life in the Arts. It makes no attempt to sugar-coat the demands, difficulties and disappointments.... while fully revelling in the joys and deep fulfillment achieved through perseverance. Gordon’s story captures his dreams and gives readers profound insight into artistic temperament and the ever-burning passion that fuel’s artists’ choices.

One of the most helpful, is to read it to learn from it how to live so as to please God, attain the highest beauty of character, and leave the largest blessing in the world. There have been many lives of Joseph written. Some of these are very valuable because of the knowledge of ancient Egypt and the Egyptians which they impart in the telling of the story. Nothing of this is attempted in the present chapters, the author's desire being only to find and interpret some of the lessons in life which the narrative has for its earnest readers. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Creation to the Exodus is a message of meditation based on the Bible and written by James Russell Miller (20 March 1840 – 2 July 1912) was a popular Christian author, Editorial Superintendent of the Presbyterian Board of Publication, and pastor of several churches in Pennsylvania and Illinois. James Russell Miller was born near Frankfort Springs, Pennsylvania, on the banks of the Big Traverse, which according to his biographer, John T. Faris, is a merry little mill stream which drains one of the most beautiful valleys in the southern part of Beaver County. His parents were James Alexander Miller and Eleanor Creswell who were of Irish/Scottish stock. Miller was the second child of ten, but his older sister died before he was born. James and his sisters attended the district school in Hanover Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania until, when James was about fourteen, his father moved to a farm near Calcutta, Ohio. The children then went to the district school during the short winters and worked on the farm during summer. In 1857, James entered Beaver Academy and in 1862 he progressed to Westminster College, Pennsylvania, which he graduated in June 1862. Then in the autumn of that year he entered the theological seminary of the United Presbyterian Church at Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
