It's manufactured by mixing a powdered polymer with a liquid monomer to form a dough-like substance that can be moulded and sculpted into any form, including nails of any length and shape. Acrylic nails require a multi-step application method. The cuticles are pushed back and the nails are filed down to provide a rough surface, both of which improve adherence. The natural nail is then lengthened by attaching an acrylic tip or a plastic shape. To make an acrylic bead, the liquid (monomer) and powder (polymer) components are combined. After placing the bead on the nail bed or nail tip, the acrylic liquid is moulded using a brush. When exposed to air, the mixture hardens, forming a sturdy prosthetic nail. Nails are given a polished, natural look by filing, buffing, and polishing them after they have been shaped. Acrylic nails can be coloured or decorated with nail art by some users. Acrylic nails are longer and stronger than natural nails and can be shaped and coloured to suit the individual's taste. To avoid damaging the natural nails, acrylic nails should be removed by a professional and require regular maintenance and fills as the natural nails grow.
