Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is my first book I started writing it in 1999 in gaol. I had robbed a bank trying to save the world from global warming. I was found not guilty by reason of mental illness but that illness made me creative and I did time writing rhyme as I say. This book has 106 of my best spiritual very positive poems in it and some good quotes I’ve written and some interesting writing and philosophies I’ve created. If you like poetry you’ll love my poems. My favourite quote I’ve written is “Contentment you will find with a smile and quiet mind”. My second book is called Become An Azure Warrior. I used the 9-pointed star as a pattern to me at the time with each triangle to represent The Three Temples which are the body the house and the earth. It was my wish for them to be a sufficient self, being very content and possibly immortal, a self sufficient house, and a sustainable planet. Years later I found out the 9-pointed star turned up in crop circles around the world In 1999 when I first began using this symbol. I also found out the ancient Egyptians used it to represent there 9 laws and the 6-pointed star there 6 pillars and they believed in being able to attain immortality. I also heard a voice one night say you’ve earnt your star then a friend a week later said she could see it above my head in my aura. I had an attunement by spirit and felt very content for a month or two. I was also told when learning Reiki that it is an ascension symbol. To me the 9 pointed star means total contentment and the 6 pointed star means heaven on earth. This book became a book about the self and ways to be more content. I call contentment the ultimate cure and I say state of mind is everything. This book can be a very uplifting read. One lady who I gave a copy to had a profound dream and very content next day before even opening a page. One of my friends said she could feel positive energy radiating out of my book’s. This book can help you raise your vibration and help you become more content which can make eating one meal a day easier like some Buddhist monks have been doing for millennia. Doing OMAD makes you more content and also to have few ailments. It can also take you to such a high level what I call total contentment being that high that you’re not even hungry believe it or not. It could be the Holy Grail for some and reaching such a high can make you a good spiritual healer or Azure Warrior as I call myself. Utopia We all need to work together as one fraternity Lifting each other up through casual pleasantry The end result evolution to enlightenment immortality This goal becomes more than individual but planetary All the best on your quest!!! Sweet up I say!!! wwwazurewarriors.com

Book excerpt: The New Age movement has returned with full force in our culture taking the West and its churches by storm. All across North America, Christian churches have unknowingly encouraged occult beliefs and practices far removed from what the Bible teaches. This unfortunate reality is intrinsically linked to the popularity increase of New Age spirituality in the twenty-first century, and we've been so influenced by its integration into our society that we have become blind to recognizing, and preventing, the effects of this mainstream, pop-culture heresy, even within the walls of God's house. In this imperative and timely book, former New-Agers Josh Peck and Steven Bancarz reveal:· What perverse dealings the authors personally witnessed from their experiences deep within the New Age Movement· Which real and dangerous supernatural force lurks behind the New Age· Facts that reveal how the occult has worked its way into modern, evangelical churches· Connections between New Ageism, fallen angels, extraterrestrials, and the Nephilim· Solid, historical associations between the New Age Movement and Satanism· What false-Christ and false-gospel doctrines are being pushed by New Age teachers· How the central deity of the New Age is a thinly veiled version of Leviathan, the ancient personification of chaos· How quantum physics is being manipulated to promote the New Age agenda· How to reach friends and family lost in the New Age movement· Warning signs and influences of the occult in your life and home, and what to do if you are under spiritual attackOur lives, our relationships, our world, and our churches all depend on our willingness to take action against the deceit of New Age spirituality. The first step toward prevention is knowledge. Now is the time to be informed.

Book excerpt: \ Tending the Temple Product Description Best-selling Catholic author and speaker Kevin Vost ("Fit for Eternal Life and Memorize the Faith") takes the daily devotional to the next level: the fitness level! Together with popular author and fitness devotee Shane Kapler ("The God Who Is Love") and fitness expert and best-selling author Peggy Bowes ("The Rosary Workout"), Vost explores the ways in which a daily devotional can feed both the soul and the body. "Tending the Temple" is written with a daily spiritual meditation upon the life of a saint whose influence then becomes the foundation for a unique exercise for that day. The winning team of Vost, Kapler, and Bowes has created a truly distinctive way to begin each day in a faith-filled way and is sure to become a favorite for every person anxious to live out his or her faith both spiritually and physically. The glossary and health terms included as references are invaluable, and show the determination of Vost, Kapler, and Bowes to help the reader combine health of body with health of spirit. As they so passionately-and with wit and candor-remind the reader: It is never too late to care for your body the way God intended! "Tending the Temple "is a great place to see how body and spirit can work together for the ultimate in fulfillment: living as God planned-whole and holy. Product Review "Since all human beings are a union of body and spirit, care of the physical and spiritual have tandem importance. "Tending the Temple "is a surprisingly practical and engaging resource for those who have as their goal the edification of the entire person. It presents an excellent opportunity to use any day of the calendar year as an opportunity to start fresh on a plan for truth-centered self improvement. Readers will be pleasantly surprised at how sensible a healthful spiritual and physical routine can fit into the context of the Church's liturgical cycle." Book excerpt: New Age, Neopagan, and New Religious Movements is the most extensive study to date of modern American alternative spiritual currents. Hugh B. Urban covers a range of emerging religions from the mid-nineteenth century to the present, including the Nation of Islam, Mormonism, Scientology, ISKCON, Wicca, the Church of Satan, Peoples Temple, and the Branch Davidians. This essential text engages students by addressing major theoretical and methodological issues in the study of new religions and is organized to guide students in their learning. Each chapter focuses on one important issue involving a particular faith group, providing readers with examples that illustrate larger issues in the study of religion and American culture. Urban addresses such questions as, Why has there been such a tremendous proliferation of new spiritual forms in the past 150 years, even as our society has become increasingly rational, scientific, technological, and secular? Why has the United States become the heartland for the explosion of new religious movements? How do we deal with complex legal debates, such as the use of peyote by the Native American Church or the practice of plural marriage by some Mormon communities? And how do we navigate issues of religious freedom and privacy in an age of religious violence, terrorism, and government surveillance?

Book excerpt: Diana Butler Bass, one of contemporary Christianity’s leading trend-spotters, exposes how the failings of the church today are giving rise to a new “spiritual but not religious” movement. Using evidence from the latest national polls and from her own cutting-edge research, Bass, the visionary author of A People’s History of Christianity, continues the conversation began in books like Brian D. McLaren’s A New Kind of Christianity and Harvey Cox’s The Future of Faith, examining the connections—and the divisions—between theology, practice, and community that Christians experience today. Bass’s clearly worded, powerful, and probing Christianity After Religion is required reading for anyone invested in the future of Christianity.

Visit www.luminosoa.org to learn more. The Hegemony of Heritage makes an original and significant contribution to our understanding of how the relationship of architectural objects and societies to the built environment changes over time. Studying two surviving medieval monuments in southern Rajasthan—the Ambika Temple in Jagat and the Ékalingji Temple Complex in Kailaspuri—the author looks beyond their divergent sectarian affiliations and patronage structures to underscore many aspects of common practice. This book offers new and extremely valuable insights into these important monuments, illuminating the entangled politics of antiquity and revealing whether a monument’s ritual record is affirmed as continuous and hence hoary or dismissed as discontinuous or reinvented through various strategies. The Hegemony of Heritage enriches theoretical constructs with ethnographic description and asks us to reexamine notions such as archive and text through the filter of sculpture and mantra.

Book excerpt: The Damanhur Federation, situated in Valchiusella, North-West Italy, is one of Europe’s longest-lasting spiritual-esoteric communities. Nevertheless, there has hitherto been nearly no scientific study of this group, with the exception of a handful of specialised-journal articles. This collection fills that gap by collating the various scholarly contributions which over the years have dealt with Damanhur, aiming to present the phenomenon to a public of specialists, students and people who are just curious in a volume focusing on the multidisciplinary nature of the community as a whole. We consider the various spheres making up the social, cultural, spiritual and organisational life of Damanhur through analysis and interpretation of its historical evolution and more recent changes which have affected the community since its founder’s death. The contributions combine field research with theoretical reflection, making use of both qualitative (discursive interviews and participant observation) and quantitative (questionnaires) methods.

Book excerpt: Despite the prominence of ancient temples in the landscape of Egypt, books about them are surprisingly rare; this new and essential publication from a prominent Czech scholar answers the need for a study that goes beyond temple architecture to examine the spiritual, economic and political aspects of these specific institutions and the dominant roles they played. Miroslav Verner presents a deeper and more complex study of major ancient Egyptian religious centers, their principal temples, their rise and decline, their religious doctrines, cults, rituals, feasts, and mysteries. Also discussed are the various categories of priests, the organization of the priesthood, and its daily services and customs. Each chapter offers the reader essential and up-to-date information about temple complexes and the history of their archaeological exploration, in the context of the spiritual dimension and cultural legacy of ancient Egypt.
