(Page 50.J NAMES AND TITLES OF THE CREATOR. None of the names and titles by which the Creator has manifested His character, are without precise signification and special reference; and of this kind of knowledge the sacred writers knew the deep value. For the information of young readers, it may be useful to remark that the term Yehovah, expressive of Am-wasShall Be, is an exception to the genius (of the Hebrew language, which, recognizing only the past and the future, leaves the present tense to be mentally supplied. "And God spake unto Moses and said unto him, I am mnp (Yehovah). I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob by my name "Hip bN (God Almighty, ) but by my name Yehovah was I not known to them; and also I established my covenant with them to give them the Land of Canaan, the Land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers: and I have moreover heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My Covenant." Exod. vi. 1--5. It was therefore by the Name Yehovah that the Creator announced Himself as the Saviour and Redeemer of the children of Israel while under the dominion of the posterity of Ham. Moses was moreover commanded to say to the children of Israel rPPI (I AM) hath sent me unto you. This was the TYffV INbn (angel of Yehovah) who appeared as a consuming fire in the midst of an unconsumed bush in Horeb, who would have borne His people as on eagles' wings to the promised Land, but not having, by regeneration, become assimilated with His RIGHTEOUSNESS, they could not enter into His Rest at that time---or in these bodies. That angelic nature in which the ineffable Name was enshrined could neither atone for transgression, nor mediate between the...

Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Ten Tribes, Discovered and Identified: The Four Historic Phases of the House of Jacob Considered The purpose of this book is to show who and where the ten tribes of Israel are. It is no crack-brained theory, but a serious attempt to solve the problem in the light of history and the Scriptures. I have studied, as carefully as I am able, all the literature on the subject, sacred and profane, and the conclusion here stated is that to which all the facts unquestionably point. And I am sure that no one can study all these facts and arrive at any other. The only reason why any other conclusion has been entertained by any of our people is that they have not had all these facts before them when they took up the subject, or that they have not entered into a careful study of the question. So far as I know, these facts have not been laid before the public before, at least not in the way I have tried to present them. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Ephraim. The Gentile Children of Israel" traces the Lost Ten Tribes to the British Isles, North America, Australia, and related areas. Sources used include the Bible, Midrashim, other Rabbinical texts, and secular sources. Descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel in the Aggregate have certain national characteristics that allow us to confirm their Israelite ancestry. The pertinent criteria for determining Israelite origins are discussed. Jewish Traditions in Arab Lands traced the Ten Tribes to France and Britain. The same applies to the Sons of Moses and the Rechabites both of whom, in Jewish tradition, were also associated with the Ten Tribes and located in the same areas. Australia and New Zealand are the Land of Sinim which is one of the areas it was prophesied the Ten Tribes would be found in towards the End times (Isaiah 49:12). Rabbinical sources trace the Lost Ten Tribes to three major areas. We identify the areas in question and show how these identifications confirm the Lost Ten Tribes being now found among western peoples. A turning point in the history of England was marked by the Tudor Monarchs. Henry-7 (1457-1509) adopted the Tudor Rose as his symbol and it still is in official usage as representative of the monarchy and of Britain. The Tudor Rose with its red and white petals was described as representative of Israel in the opening pages of the Zohar which a major Rabbinical spiritual treatise. Traditional names for the Isles of Britain and Ireland are those applied to the place of Exile of the Ten Tribes in Rabbinical sources. The Maharal (ca. 1512-1609) was an outstanding Rabbinical authority whose authority is acknowledged by all present day Orthodox Rabbinical authorities. An analysis of the same sources we use by the Maharal confirms our findings and also points to America as the major center for the Ten Tribes in the End Times! Rabbinical sources concerning the Lost Ten Tribes are compared to Welsh and Irish traditions. They complement and affirm each other. Recent Rabbinical scholars, who were also great men in their own right and still are amongst the most revered authorities, have considered in the past the role of the Ten Tribes in the coming Redemption. Their observations are pertinent to all of us today.
