A mysterious serpent is found in all religions and mythologies, yet its true meaning was known only to initiates of the secret doctrine... In the Bible, a serpent tempted Eve, yet a serpent also healed the Israelites. Apollo fought the dreaded Python, while a healing serpent rose upon the rod of Aesculapius. The dual nature of the serpent is obvious, yet few know that the serpent is within us. In The Secret Doctrine of Anahuac, Samael Aun Weor explores the traditions of the Aztecs to demonstrate the universal, dualistic symbol of the serpent, its practical meaning, and its vital role in our lives, whether aiding our spiritual development or tempting us towards degeneration and suffering. Yet, this is not a book of theories or beliefs, but a manual of practical techniques that you can begin applying today, such as meditation, awakening in the world of dreams, jinn science, sexual transmutation, and much more. By awakening consciousness, you no longer need beliefs or theories, because you will know the truth from your own experience. "When the igneous serpent of our magical powers ascends along the spinal medullar canal of the human body, it is our Divine Mother Kundalini. When the igneous serpent descends downwardly projected from the coccygeal bone towards the atomic infernos of humans, it is the abominable Kundabuffer organ... the tail of Satan." --Samael Aun Weor

Book excerpt: A treatise that summarizes the historical and anthropological transcendence of the Atlantean descendants who managed to create one of the greatest civilizations known to mankind under the name of Anahuac. This book is a milestone for the history of Latin America, because it shows us everything that was callously concealed by the "learned ignoramuses" when speaking of the cultural heritage of the Tenochtitlan civilization. "Dr. Samael Aun Weor, prolific esotericist author and anthropologist, was born amidst the tribulations of a society that was succumbing to materialism and the decadence of all ethical, philosophical and transcendental values. After enormous personal sacrifices, he achieved his personal Self-Realization and dedicated his entire life and his immense work to teaching humanity the path of the true Awakening of Consciousness, traditionally known as Gnosis. Samael Aun Weor delivers, in his more than sixty works and renouncing all personal benefits, hundreds of practices and all the keys (including the Secreto Secretorum) of true esotericism in depth that allows the seeker to discover by himself the answers and experience the results, through a psychological work based on three factors: To be born (alchemically), To Die (to everything illusory) and the Sacrifice for Humanity (to pay our karmic debts). You can find more information about this unrivaled author at www.samael.org." Book excerpt: The Secret Doctrine, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky's masterwork on the origin and evolution of the universe and humanity itself, is arguably the most famous, and perhaps the most influential, occult book ever written. Published since 1888, it has long eluded the grasp of modern readers until now. A sourcebook of the esoteric tradition, outlining the fundamental tenets of the Secret Doctrine of the Archaic Ages. This title addresses the perennial questions: continuity of life after death, purpose of existence, good and evil, consciousness and substance, sexuality, karma, evolution, and human and planetary transformation.

Book excerpt: Since the appearance of Theosophical literature in England, it has become customary to call its teachings “Esoteric Buddhism.” And, having become a habit—as an old proverb based on daily experience has it—“Error runs down an inclined plane, while Truth has to laboriously climb its way up hill.” Old truisms are often the wisest. The human mind can hardly remain entirely free from bias, and decisive opinions are often formed before a thorough examination of a subject from all its aspects has been made. This is said with reference to the prevailing double mistake (a) of limiting Theosophy to Buddhism; and (b) of confounding the tenets of the religious philosophy preached by Gautama, the Buddha, with the doctrines broadly outlined in Esoteric Buddhism. Any thing more erroneous than this could hardly be imagined. It has enabled our enemies to find an effective weapon against Theosophy, because, as an eminent Pâli scholar very pointedly expressed it, there was in the volume named “neither Esotericism nor Buddhism.” The esoteric truths, presented in Mr. Sinnett's work, ceased to be esoteric from the moment they were made public; nor did the book contain the religion of Buddha, but simply a few tenets from a hitherto hidden teaching, which are now explained and supplemented by many more in the present volumes. And even the latter, though giving out many fundamental tenets from the Secret Doctrine of the East, raise but a small corner of the dark veil. For no one, not even the greatest living Adept, would be permitted to, or could—even if he would—give out promiscuously to a mocking, unbelieving world that which has been so effectually concealed from it for long æons and ages. Esoteric Buddhism was an excellent work with a very unfortunate title, though it meant no more than does the title of this work, The Secret Doctrine. It proved unfortunate, because people are always in the habit of judging things by their appearance rather than by their meaning, and because the error has now become so universal, that even most of the Fellows of the Theosophical Society have fallen victims to the same misconception. From the first, however, protests were raised by Brâhmans and others against the title; and, in justice to myself, I must add that Esoteric Buddhism was presented to me as a completed volume, and that I was entirely unaware of the manner in which the author intended to spell the word “Budh-ism.”

Blavatsky - The Secret Doctrine is the seminal work of the Theosophical Movement and established Blavatsky as one of the most vocal and outspoken advocate of the Wisdom Teachings of the East. Almost every contemporary spiritual movement can trace its lineage back to the impulses expressed most consumately in this, Blavatsky's Magnum Opus. Based upon a disclosure and exposition of the hitherto unknown - and academically, quite controversial - "Stanzas of Dzyan," The Secret Doctrine elaborates on the teachings first brought to the world through the "Masters" Koot Humi and Morya and introduced in A. P. Sinnett's "Esoteric Buddhism," to which Blavatsky continuously refers and clarifies. In the two volumes (the first being Cosmogenesis) she portrays a sweeping vision of the evolution of humanity and the cosmos out of the spirit, unfolding in "rounds" and cycles of descent and reascent from and to the spirit, through cycles of reincarnation. This ebook edition has been meticulously prepared, with over 1000 footnotes linked from within the text. This complex and challenging work is presented in a highly readable format that invites a fresh approach to the text. Volume I, Cosmogenesis

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Secret Doctrine, the Synthesis of Science, Religion and Philosophy, a book originally published as two volumes in 1888 written by Helena Blavatsky. The first volume is named Cosmogenesis, the second Anthropogenesis. It was an influential example of the revival of interest in esoteric and occult ideas in the modern age, in particular because of its claim to reconcile ancient eastern wisdom with modern science.Blavatsky claimed that its contents had been revealed to her by 'mahatmas' who had retained knowledge of humanity's spiritual history, knowledge that it was now possible, in part, to reveal.Volume two (Anthropogenesis)The second half of the book describes the origins of humanity through an account of "Root Races" said to date back millions of years. The first root race was, according to her, "ethereal"; the second root had more physical bodies and lived in Hyperborea. The third root race, the first to be truly human, is said to have existed on the lost continent of Lemuria and the fourth root race is said to have developed in Atlantis.According to Blavatsky, the fifth root race is approximately one million years old, overlapping the fourth root race and the very first beginnings of the fifth root race were approximately in the middle of the fourth root race.[citation needed]"The real line of evolution differs from the Darwinian, and the two systems are irreconcilable," according to Blavatsky, "except when the latter is divorced from the dogma of 'Natural Selection'." She explained that, "by 'Man' the divine Monad is meant, and not the thinking Entity, much less his physical body." "Occultism rejects the idea that Nature developed man from the ape, or even from an ancestor common to both, but traces, on the contrary, some of the most anthropoid species to the Third Race man." In other words, "the 'ancestor' of the present anthropoid animal, the ape, is the direct production of the yet mindless Man, who desecrated his human dignity by putting himself physically on the level of an animal."

Book excerpt: Complete and unabridged, here is the unparalleled landmark of occult philosophy and lost history that reshaped the modern spiritual mindset and continues to fascinate readers today. There is perhaps no greater enigma in modern Western literature than The Secret Doctrine. The controversial Russian noblewoman Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky told the world that the book restored humanity's lost history and destiny. Its insights, she said, had been gleaned from long-secret books of wisdom and her tutelage under mahatmas, or great souls: adepts from the East who exposed the seeker to their esoteric teaching. To read The Secret Doctrine is to enter a mysterious world of ancient cosmology and spiritual-scientific insights, which tell of humanity's unthinkably ancient past and its burgeoning evolution into a new, more refined existence. For the first time, Blavatsky's encyclopedia arcana is available in a reset and redesigned single-volume edition, complete and unabridged. Its truths and challenges are available to the intrepid reader, who may find yet-unknown insights within its pages.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this simple and lively book, Samael Aun Weor describes his experiences of a wide variety of metaphysical and paranormal phenomena. Going beyond the usual pseudo-spiritual approach, this book introduces the reader to Gnosis: the practical science of awakening the Consciousness, by means of which any person can experience the realities that exist beyond the physical senses. This is an excellent book for young people and for those who are first being introduced to Gnosis. "Do you want to know something from the beyond? Do you want to chat with divine beings face to face? "It is indispensable to enter into the region of the dead at will, to visit the celestial regions, to know other worlds of the infinite space. "Outside of the physical body, one can give to himself the luxury of invoking beloved relatives who already passed through the doors of death. They will concur to our call, then we can personally chat with them... "When out of the physical body, we can acquire complete knowledge about the mysteries of death and life. Out of the physical body, we can invoke the angels in order to talk personally with them face to face."
