This book is not intended to handle such matter. It is instead intended to address the Church's responsibility in today's society while maintaining its focus on its mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. It will address such matters as marriage and divorce, sexual promiscuity, wars, racism, abortion as well as a host of other socially related topics. In a society where human beings are getting less and less interested in matters of a religious nature partially due to the prevailing perceptions of the Church, the author takes a critical look at some of the things the Church must do to ensure that it is meeting its objectives of "making disciples of all nations through the gospel" while striving to improve the social condition of humanity in general. The author made no attempt to avoid controversial issues and at the end remained true to what the scripture had to say on each matter. Where scripture is not explicit, the author draws from exegesis, logics and experience in arriving at his conclusions. Rev. Dr. Manasseh L. Bewry (B.Sc., Th .M., Th .D.) is the co-founder of Bethel Deliverance Temple and is the founder of the Bethel Family Ministries (Internet and Tract Ministry). Jonathan Worthington explores Paul's protology by analyzing his interpretation of scripture concerning creation, mainly the beginning of Genesis. By examining Paul's exegetical manoeuvres within 1-2 Corinthians and Romans, and by comparing these with the contemporary but more detailed treatments of the same texts by Philo of Alexandria in his formal commentary on Genesis 1-2, De Opificio Mundi, the author uncovers an approach to creation that is fundamental to both ancient interpreters. Paul's interpretation of creation, like Philo's in his commentary, contains three interwoven aspects: the beginning of the world, the beginning of humanity, and God's intentions before the beginning. Recognizing this basic hermeneutical interplay between the Beginning and the Before facilitates a more appropriate comparison between Paul and Philo as well as a more adequate treatment of difficult and debated passages in both interpreters regarding creation.

Compared with Dietrich Bonhoeffer, little is known of the Baptist preacher Arnold Koster. His ministry as a pastor of the Baptist church in Vienna lasted from 1928-1960. During the Nazi regime, he consistently preached critically and prophetically against its underlying ideology.

Based upon interviews and participant observation in three NARCs, SuYeon Yoon describes the leadership and ecclesiology based on their own self-descriptions. This book then demonstrates the gap between the biblical and conceptual ideals and the reality of ecclesial practice. The author argues that the NARC serves as a charismatic manifestation of a similar cultural response to establish a relational structure for church communities that can appropriately reflect upon and identify with the contemporary context. This implies that each movement needs to be biblically sound, faithful to its conceptualization, and relevant to the context in order to cultivate its own way of being the church.
