Every copy of The Scrolls was destroyed in the war. Despite countless hours of labor, the task of reproducing them was far from complete, and their society was slowly unraveling. In order to try and save his people from falling into an age of darkness, King Onestus, whose health is failing, announces that he will assemble a group of thirteen men to undertake a prophesied quest. This quest, to return a sacred medallion to the kingdom, will decide his successor. "The Medallion of Mavinor" is the story of how thirteen very different men learn to work together; warriors, a scholar, a rich man, a fisherman, thrown together against nearly impossible odds. They face off against their world, magical creatures, and one another on an epic journey into the past, and the future of their world.

Legendary tales were repeated of a golden city inhabited by Empyrean Wizards until it was plagued by dark sorcery when a meager fledgling magician by the name of Imperious the Great wandered in. Some did not believe the city ever existed; others who knew better wanted it to stay lost. How did it all start? How would it end? The answer simmered for hundreds of years waiting for the right moment to escape. John and Celeste were more than ready for another adventure. The journey to Copia was also a search for his missing father. They were unaware of just how dangerous their quest was until it was too late. Book Synopsis Earth Energies by : Serge Kahili King
Download or read book Earth Energies written by Serge Kahili King and published by Quest Books. This book was released on 2015-06-15 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Examinations and accounts of experimentation with subtle energies. In addition to the scientifically accepted forces of electricity, magnetism, and gravity, there are, according to the author, "psychoenergetic" forces, those that interact with the mind as well as the body. His research deals with the energies behind extraordinary phenomena like non-physical healing, levitation, telekinesis, superstrength, and many others in which the mind is always an important factor. He touches on pyramid power, dowsing, feng shui, and the use of magnets for healing. These, and many more sources may have a single energy in common; the same way different physical elements all have electrons in common. Leave skepticism behind, and be fascinated by his examples and observations that may someday prove to be of practical value, and no more "strange" than bread mold being used to cure disease.

Book Synopsis Career Construction Theory and Life Writing by : Hywel Dix
Download or read book Career Construction Theory and Life Writing written by Hywel Dix and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-05-13 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume applies the insight and methods of career construction theory to explore how autobiographical writing is used in different professional careers, from fiction and journalism to education and medicine. It draws attention to the fact that a career is a particular kind of artefact with distinctive properties and features that can be analysed and compared, and puts forward a new theory of the relationship between narrative methodology and the vocation of writing. Career construction theory emerged in the late twentieth century, when changes to the patterns of our working lives caused large numbers of people to seek new forms of vocational guidance to navigate those changes. It employs a narrative paradigm in which periods of uncertainty are treated as experiences akin to ‘writer’s block’, experiences which can be overcome first by imagining new character arcs, then by narrating them and finally by performing them. By encouraging clients to see their careers as stories of which they are both the metaphorical authors and the main protagonists, career construction counsellors enable them to envisage the next chapter in those stories. But despite the authorial metaphor, career construction theory has not been widely applied to analysis of professional careers in writing. The chapters in this volume remedy that gap and in various ways apply the insights of career construction theory to analyse the relationship between writing and professional life in diverse careers where writing is used. The chapters in this book were originally published in the journal Life Writing.

The worship of any other gods was forbidden, forcing nearly all Spiritual Partisans underground...Then Shae was born.
