Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Princeton Seminary Bulletin, Vol. 37: December, 1943 Because the Seminary is on the accelerated program and a Naval Training Sta tion is located at Princeton, the Navy has selected Princeton Seminary as one of the institutions to which it will send students selected for the V-12 (s) Program. The second semester Of the current year, therefore, will see many students in Navy uniform on the campus. This group will be comprised Of men from our own student body who are looking forward to the Chaplaincy, students from seminaries not on the accelerated program, and men who are now in the service Of the Navy but who wish to prepare themselves to become ministers, more especially Chap lains. The fall of 1944 will bring to the campus another distinctive group - young women, college graduates, who will register for the course designed to prepare them to be assistants to ministers and to enter other positions open to lay workers.
