My next close study was to secure the meaning of the types, sym bols, etc., in the Old Testament and apply them to the book of Revelation: for it is largely symbolic, and thus shadows forth the actual and the real in such time as God has purposed in his own mind. Next I examined the contexts and parallel passages throughout the Bible. In this way the Throne-view of the exalted Christ can be clearly seen..
