He had a great faith and belief in the work he had to do. He treated what you and I would call mediocre affairs with all seriousness. He had faith in God. You have got to have that faith that comes only from a sublime faith in God. "No man ever got a greater victory over his own life than Washington in his self-mastery of his passions. Hence he was able to command men. He was a man of great consecration. Consecration is one of the elements of success. Whatever we undertake to do, let us put ourselves into it. There is no permanent success when that life does not contribute to the welfare of others. "Washington was a man of action. He did not stop with the mere thinking of things; he did things.
