Book Synopsis SysML in Action with Cameo Systems Modeler by : Olivier Casse
Download or read book SysML in Action with Cameo Systems Modeler written by Olivier Casse and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2017-11-16 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: System engineering (SE) using models (MBSE) is currently in vogue in the community of SE practitioners, whether they are analysts, architects, developers or testers. INCOSE has contributed greatly to the definition of a language for the community, henceforth standardized under ISO-19514: SysML. However, this language is not associated by default with any particular MBSE procedure. This is a major difficulty hampering its implementation. In order to overcome this difficulty, this book describes, in addition to the SysML notation, a generic approach based on the main principles of SE and relative standards, serving as the basis for a specific MBSE approach to be built. This is in order to respond to the specificities of the field of projects in which the practitioners evolve. In order to carry out the procedure in a pragmatic way, a simplified but realistic example serves as a guideline from the initial requirements to the validation of the system, putting into action the SysML modeling tool Cameo Systems Modeler by No Magic. Based on a realistic example and simplified, yet still useful for professionals (no ATM or traffic lights) Explores everything from requirements to validation to cover the classical V cycle Utilizes a generic approach, fully suitable to SysML, to apply major system engineering principles and standards Helps users learn to make their own model by transcribing their needs and taking advantage of the tool features, Conserves time by using recommended workarounds to develop custom processes for this tool, before deploying successfully on real industrial projects
Book Synopsis Simple SysML for Beginners by : David Hetherington
Download or read book Simple SysML for Beginners written by David Hetherington and published by . This book was released on 2020-02-07 with total page 412 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Simple SysML for Beginners Using Sparx Enterprise Architect is for beginners. The book assumes that you have just purchased a copy of Enterprise Architect and are anxious to get started, but otherwise don't know too much about SysML and don't have much experience using Enterprise Architect or any other similar tool. There are several good books on the market about SysML. However, these books show only finished diagrams. They don't cover the steps needed to construct the models and the diagrams. These steps can be remarkably complicated; the sequence of steps needed to construct the underlying model for a diagram is often less than obvious when using a real SysML tool. The purpose of this book is to help you get through the initial learning curve and get you on your way to becoming proficient at SysML modeling.

Download or read book The Magic Box written by Rob Young and published by Faber & Faber. This book was released on 2021-08-03 with total page 389 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A LOUDER THAN WAR BOOK OF THE YEAR A riveting journey into the psyche of Britain through its golden age of television and film; a cross-genre feast of moving pictures, from classics to occult hidden gems, The Magic Box is the nation's visual self-portrait in technicolour detail. 'The definition of gripping. Truly, a trove of wyrd treasures.' BENJAMIN MYERS 'A lovingly researched history of British TV [that] recalls the brilliant, the bizarre and the unworldly.' GUARDIAN 'A reclamation, not just of a visual 'golden age', but of Britain as a darkly magical place.' THE SPECTATOR 'A feat of argument, description and affection.' FINANCIAL TIMES 'Young unearths the ghosts of TV past - and Britain's dark psyche.' HERALD 'Highly entertaining . . . [A] fabulous treasure trove.' SCOTSMAN 'Young is a phenomonal scholar.' OBSERVER 'Impassioned.' THE CRITIC Growing up in the 1970s, Rob Young's main storyteller was the wooden box with the glass window in the corner of the family living room, otherwise known as the TV set. Before the age of DVDs and Blu-ray discs, YouTube and commercial streaming services, watching television was a vastly different experience. You switched on, you sat back and you watched. There was no pause or fast-forward button. The cross-genre feast of moving pictures produced in Britain between the late 1950s and late 1980s - from Quatermass and Tom Jones to The Wicker Man and Brideshead Revisited, from A Canterbury Tale and The Go-Between to Bagpuss and Children of the Stones, and from John Betjeman's travelogues to ghost stories at Christmas - contributed to a national conversation and collective memory. British-made sci-fi, folk horror, period drama and televisual grand tours played out tensions between the past and the present, dramatised the fractures and injustices in society and acted as a portal for magical and ghostly visions. In The Magic Box, Rob Young takes us on a fascinating journey into this influential golden age of screen and discovers what it reveals about the nature and character of Britain, its uncategorisable people and buried histories - and how its presence can still be felt on screen in the twenty-first century. '[A] forensic dissection . . . this tightly packed treatise takes pains to illustrate how what we view affects how we view ourselves.' TOTAL FILM
