This book was released on 2023-12-22 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The “Global Covenant to Protect the Sacred Lives of Children”, represents my soul’s mission to advocate for children and my life’s work, to be a voice for children. I want the content of this book to be a global “light” to bring humanity to an understanding of how of the welfare of our children must be our priority. I believe that we can change the world’s perspective of “who children are to us”, and “what we must do to love and protect them”! I have a dream and I hold a vision that we will “stand up”, “speak up”, and “show up “, for our children! They deserve the best of who we are. They deserve the fullness of a life filled with loving, attentive, and righteous adults at the helm of their ship on this life’s voyage. This conversation is not a document that is governmental in texture like a “Bill of Rights”. This goes deeper reaching out to the soul essence of mankind. This is a “covenant”, something that is a spiritual agreement that cannot be broken, repealed, or amended. It reaches beyond anyone’s lifetime and for that matter is beyond linear timelines. It just “is”.

This book was released on 2021-09-28 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a model for reforming and developing Indigenous related legislation and policy, not only in Australia, but also in other jurisdictions. The model provides guidance about how to seek, listen to and respond to the voices of Indigenous children and young people. The participation of Indigenous children and young people, when carried out in a culturally and age-appropriate way and based on free, prior and informed consent, is an invaluable resource capable of empowering children and young people and informing Indigenous related legislation and policy. This project contributes to the emerging field of robust, ethically sound, participatory research with Indigenous children and young people and proposes ways in which Australian and international legislators and policymakers can implement the principle of children’s participation by involving Aboriginal children and young people in the development of law and policy pertaining to their lives. This book provides accounts from Aboriginal children and young people detailing their views on how they can be involved in law and policy development in the future. It shows the latest state of knowledge on the topic and will be of interest to researchers, academics, policymakers, legislators, and students in the fields of human rights law, children’s rights, participation rights, Indigenous peoples’ law, and family, child and social welfare law.

Book Synopsis The Ministry of Healing—Illustrated by : Ellen G. White
Download or read book The Ministry of Healing—Illustrated written by Ellen G. White and published by Digital Inspiration. This book was released on with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Heritage Edition: Over 200 hand drawn illustrations from a century ago. Unabridged, original text. This book helps us to see the natural laws of our bodies as the divine laws of a loving Creator. Practical counsel guides us in our day-to-day care of our physical being in ways that will greatly maintain physical health and in general provide us a longer, more productive, and enjoyable life span. The Ministry of Healing was first published in its present form in 1905. Its roots, however, began as far back as the 1860s with materials Ellen White wrote for publications such as Health Reformer, Good Health, Appeal to Mothers, How to Live, and Christian Temperance and Bible Hygiene. This version is a full text rendition. Over 200 hand drawn illustrations from that era have been restored and add much to its attractiveness and study value. Christ spent more time healing and ministering to the physical needs of suffering humanity than he did to preaching. He related to people in the areas of their felt need and after gaining their attention and indebtedness he ministered to their spiritual needs, encouraging them to “go and sin no more.” He was indeed the pattern Medical Missionary. Through His example in ministry He calls not only health professionals but every admirer of His to “come and follow Me.” This book helps us to see the natural laws of our bodies as the divine laws of a loving Creator. Practical counsel guides us in our day-to-day care of our physical being in ways that will greatly maintain physical health and in general provide us a longer, more productive, and enjoyable life span. There is also much information on how to best minister to those who are suffering physically, mentally, and spiritually. There is good, practical advice on how to provide effective home health care which, in many instances, will diminish, the need for professional health care and fewer medications.

Book Synopsis Experiencing and Protecting Sacred Natural Sites of Sámi and other Indigenous Peoples by : Leena Heinämäki
Download or read book Experiencing and Protecting Sacred Natural Sites of Sámi and other Indigenous Peoples written by Leena Heinämäki and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-02-24 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses specifically on the experience and protection of indigenous, and particularly Sámi sacred sites in the Arctic. Sacred sites are being increasingly recognized as important reservoirs of Arctic cultural and biological diversity, as a means for the transmission of culture and identity, and a tool for the preservation of fragile northern social-ecological systems. Yet, legal protection of Arctic sacred sites and related policies are often still lacking or absent. It becomes increasingly difficult for site custodians in the Arctic to protect these ancient sites, due to disruptive changes, such as climate change, economic developments and infrastructural development. With contributions from Sámi and non-Sámi scholars from Arctic regions, this book provides new insights into our understanding of the significance and legal protection of sacred sites for Sámi of the Arctic. It examines the role of international human rights, environmental law, and longstanding customary law that uphold Arctic indigenous peoples’ rights in conservation, and their associated management systems. It also demonstrates the complex relationships between indigenous knowledge, cultural/spiritual values and belief systems and nature conservation. The book looks forward to providing guidelines for future research and practice for improved integration of the ethical, cultural and spiritual values of nature into law, policy, planning and management. As such, this book offers a contribution to upholding the sanctity of these sites, their cultural identity and the biodiversity associated with them.
