Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: JUST LOVE contains everything, the entire universe. It describes a Love that has been addressed before - after all, there is essentially nothing new to add to the wisdom of the Holy Scriptures of both East and West - yet the way this Love is addressed is new and speaks to us at the beginning of the 21st century in a way that touches us deeply. JUST LOVE is expressed by someone who not only knows about the all-pervading, all-sustaining Divine force that forms the creation of the Universe, but who is completely one with it. JUST LOVE is the first major book written with words directly from Sri Swami Vishwananda. It contains a collection of 52 talks expressed by a fully realized soul to enable each and everyone to attain the Divine Light in a simple way. Sri Swami Vishwanada's message is simple: Just Love. Yes, just love. Love is all there is. Love is all you have to do; the rest will take care of itself.
Book Synopsis Aquinas's Way to God by : Gaven Kerr OP
Download or read book Aquinas's Way to God written by Gaven Kerr OP and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2015-02-25 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gaven Kerr provides the first book-length study of St. Thomas Aquinas's much neglected proof for the existence of God in De Ente et Essentia Chapter 4. He offers a contemporary presentation, interpretation, and defense of this proof, beginning with an account of the metaphysical principles used by Aquinas and then describing how they are employed within the proof to establish the existence of God. Along the way, Kerr engages contemporary authors who have addressed Aquinas's or similar reasoning. The proof developed in the De Ente is, on Kerr's reading, independent of many of the other proofs in Aquinas's corpus and resistant to the traditional classificatory schemes of proofs of God. By applying a historical and hermeneutical awareness of the philosophical issues presented by Aquinas's thought and evaluating such philosophical issues with analytical precision, Kerr is able to move through the proof and evaluate what Aquinas is saying, and whether what he is saying is true. By means of an analysis of one of Aquinas's earliest proofs, Kerr highlights a foundational argument that is present throughout the much more commonly studied Thomistic writings, and brings it to bear within the context of analytical philosophy, showing its relevance to the contemporary reader.

Hazrat Inayat Khan The Sufis have been using carefully constructed stories for teaching purposes for thousands of years. Though on the surface these often appear to be little more than fairy or folk tales, the Sufis hold that they enshrine - in their characters, plots and imagery - patterns and relationships that nurture a part of the mind not reachable in more conventional ways, thus increasing our understanding, flexibility and breadth of vision. Familiarization with this body of material can eventually provide answers to questions about our origins and our destiny. In this book John Baldock explores the rich body of literature the Sufis have produced to guide spiritual travellers. While explaining the significant teachings and emphasizing their significance for us, he sheds a timely light on the Sufis' fascinating perception of life, revealing it to be a process of the heart and not of the head, and offers intriguing pathways to further study and reflection.

However, the information provided is absolutely profound as it relates to secret societies, ancient Earth history, human development, life on other worlds, spirituality, and advanced scientific knowledge. The notes were originally published by Mr. Meier in his native language of German. A researcher by the name of Wendelle Stevens then published several volumes of the notes that were translated into the English language. Book Synopsis Extracting the Essence of the Sruti by : Toṭakācārya
Download or read book Extracting the Essence of the Sruti written by Toṭakācārya and published by Motilal Banarsidass Publ.. This book was released on 1996 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Srutisarasamuddharanam (Extracting the Essence of the Sruti) is the major work of Totakacarya who is regarded by tradition as one of the four-principle disciples of Adi Sankara. Composed in Sanskrit, the work consists of one hundred and seventy-nine verses. The aim of these verses is to bring out the essential meaning of the Upanisads. Through an analysis of various Upanisad statements, as well by compatible reasoning, Sri Totaka shows that the Upanisads teach that Brahman is real, the world is mithya and that the essential nature of the jiva is none other than Brahman. The teaching is presented in the form of a dialogue between a student and a guru. Totaka skilfully manages to bring out the main Advaita teachings while maintaining the context of a discussion. These verses are not only valuable for what they teach, but in them we also find an accurate account of the tradition of Advaita as it existed at the time of Sankaracarya himself. Accompanying the Devanagari text of the verses is an English translation of each verse followed by a brief commentary in English to assist in understanding the verses.
