Book Synopsis The Clavis Or Key to the Magic of Solomon by : Ebenezer Sibley
Download or read book The Clavis Or Key to the Magic of Solomon written by Ebenezer Sibley and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Clavis or Key to the Magic of Solomon is one of several notebooks from the estate of Ebenezer Sibley, transcribed under the direction of Frederic Hockley (1808-1885). Sibley was a prominent physician and an influential author, who complemented his scientific studies with writings on the "deeper truths" including magic, astrology, alchemy, and hypnotherapy. Both Sibley and Hockley were major inspirations in the occult revival of the past two centuries, influencing A.E. Waite, S.L. Mathers, Aleister Crowley, as well as the Golden Dawn, Rosicrucian, and Masonic movements. This collection reflects Sibley's teachings on the practical use of celestial influences and harmonies. The Clavis contains clear and systematic instructions for constructing magical tools and pentacles for many practical purposes. It includes eight separate magical texts: The Mysterious Ring, Experiments of the Spirits, Birto, Vassago, Agares, Bealpharos, The Wheel of Wisdom, and the Complete Book of Magic Science. The manuscript reproduced here is the most accurate and complete known, very beautifully and carefully written complete with extraordinary hand-colored seals and colored handwritten text. 282 color pages with a color fold-out and a huge idex.

Book Synopsis Clavis Litterarum Hibernensium by : Donnchadh Ó Corráin
Download or read book Clavis Litterarum Hibernensium written by Donnchadh Ó Corráin and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work describes the whole literary and scholarly output of the whole of the Irish middle ages (4th-17th centuries), in Latin and in the vernaculars, and tries to do so as comprehensively as possible, esp. in biblica, liturgica, computistica, hagiographica and grammatica. The book focuses both on individual manuscripts and on textual transmission. In the case of manuscripts, it gives succinctly information and a detailed bibliography, always chronologically arranged. In the case of texts, it lists the manuscripts in which they occur or, on occasion, where such a list can be found, together with a bibliography of relevant publications. In the case of both, there are running cross-references to the standard works of reference. Concordantiae, at the end of the volume, reinforce that. The 'Index Manuscriptorum' is the most comprehensive attempt so far to list the MSS written by the medieval Irish or transmitting their texts. It should allow new work on the fortuna of Irish MSS and texts and their influence throughout the middle ages. The chapters on MSS and texts written in Irish provide the treatment of several areas: annals, genealogies, vernacular law, early poetry, bardic poetry and metrics.--See publisher's website.

Download or read book Clavis Goêtica written by Frater Acher and published by . This book was released on 2021-04-27 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Clavis Goêtica presents a reference to the 16th-century tale of the first white magician, Johannes Beer, who is brought back from the dead in this book. And yet, the title as well as the essays united in this volume hold a deeper meaning: this key to the underworld is a living being, a spirit in its own right, that only comes to life when magic is performed as an act of co-creation of equals. In this book Frater Acher and José Gabriel Alegría Sabogal have joined creative forces to break through the perceived dichotomy of left-hand and right-hand paths of practical magic. Through careful historical research, concrete ritual analysis and their own experience as practitioners they show a path towards a more balanced way of approaching magic in the underworld, one where the chthonic spirits are invited to unlock what is theirs, while equally the magician is held accountable to contribute what is uniquely human about them. Only when both sides contribute fairly to the magical (p)act, can the key be turned that is the clavis goêtica.
