Book excerpt: I had always been the invisible art student in high school. Passed by. Glossed over. Unnoticed. Now I was Aria Watson...that girl. After one bad decision, and being labeled a slut, I was no longer unseen. I was the whore. The ignoramus. The tramp. I would never be invisible again. Particularly to Levi Myers. He was the odd boy with the beautiful soul who accepted and understood the broken girl inside me. Falling in love wasn't the plan. But how could I resist his promises of hope? Of forgiveness? Of a future I had stopped dreaming of? We were shattered. We were scarred. We were something strange and beautiful. We were two lost souls holding on to the only thing that could keep us together. Each other.

Book excerpt: People who have experienced consistent pain or abandonment or those who have face difficulty coping with life in general can fall prey to the deep wounds of rejection. Rejection is a great motivator and can be the push that we need to move us toward achieving great things. It can also become embedded in the soul, creating unstable emotions, faulty thinking processes, flawed perspectives and warped belief systems. This book uses the author's training, education and experience to take you on a journey from brokenness to wholeness using not only spiritual principles but practical application from a psycho-theological point of view.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Enriched by numerous case studies and years of client experience, this book guides readers to move beyond the tangled web of stories they tell themselves and others about their lives, relationships, illnesses, and disruptive life patterns. Step-by-step, the chapters uncover the origins of behaviors and feelings such as drug or alcohol addiction, failed careers, and depression. Hidden loyalties to people and ideas are introduced as the underlying causes of these obstacles, which cloud the path to success and cause people to believe the stories they tell themselves, eventually losing touch with the truth. Through the examples in this book, readers will learn to acknowledge and embrace truth, spelling out the explicit facts and rejecting the fictions they have created to excuse their failings.

Book excerpt: Damaged, a gritty and raw urban thriller that will grab you from the very first page, takes contemporary urban fiction to the next level. Mita “Sweet Lips” Cruz never had much chance to enjoy her youth because of her drug-addicted mother’s attraction to low-life men. After she survives a vicious assault at the hands of her stepfather on her fourteenth birthday, Mita desperately searches for the meaning of unconditional love in the streets of North Philadelphia. When she discovers that she is carrying the child of her rapist, it’s too much for her damaged soul to bear. With an ugly future ahead of her, her mother adds to her grief by taking and putting Mita’s newborn up for adoption. Mita vows to seek revenge for the violations against her. FBI Special Agent Jasmine Rodriguez is a rising star—a young FBI agent specializing in running sting operations from corruption to child pornography. But no matter how successful she is in her professional life, she can’t run from her shady past. So when she crosses paths with Mita, hidden agendas are revealed, and Jasmine’s life changes drastically.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I thought my life was in no particular turmoil when I first met Jaichima and Vicente in 1992. Retrospectively, I was lost, confused, and hanging onto life by a thread . . . a thread of delusions spun by suppression and repression and concealed by layers of addiction and denial. Although college educated and successful, I was feeling increasingly frustrated, depressed and unhappy for unknown reasons. Moving from the Midwest to Arizona failed to effectively alter my disposition. Closing my business and quitting my job did not help. The truth remained concealed even after two years of intervention by the Mara'akames. Slowly, via counseling, ceremonies and workshop involvement, the truth began to emerge. Thirty years of repression, addiction, denial and delusion, gradually surrendered their ugly tentacles revealing horrendous untreated childhood sexual and parental abuse. Untreated, the effects of my childhood trauma developed into a severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that has been expressed through unconscious imbalanced entity behaviors most of my life. When counseling began, my life instantly unraveled. I became confused, angry and disconnected with the person I never knew or understood; myself. Though repression and denial saved my life, intervention unlocked the door exposing my damaged entities that were created during childhood, nurtured during teen years and perfected during adulthood absent counseling. These life-saving entities silently and unknowingly controlled my life. Through the Mara'akames nontraditional intervention, guidance and healing techniques, my nonexistent spirituality gradually transformed into deep spiritual awareness. This spirituality became the essential foundation for my healing . . . and was rudimentary for unveiling my horrific past. This candid story reveals how blind adulation of my father led to horrendous childhood sexual and parental abuse with subsequent complete repression and denial. It reveals my atrocious past, defines my entities, and discusses my healing process after thirty years of repression. It also elucidates the non-traditional healing techniques, foremost spirituality, taught by the Mara'akames. Jaichima is a Mara'akame from the Huichol tribe called Wirarika of the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. She has practiced ancient and traditional tribal medicine for many years in Mexico and the United States. She speaks numerous languages and has been a committed medicine woman all of her life. Dominic Maka has been employed as a health care and vocational rehabilitation professional throughout his career. For ten years he owned and operated a successful consulting business. He has been married thirty years and is the father of three children.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hello fellow morning prayer and meditation enthusiast. This book brings you a blueprint to follow in helping you to get closer to a God of your understanding. I see myself as a spiritual person. I do not intend to tell you who your God has to be I give you the opportunity to find your God. My goal is to open your mind to the benefits of seeking God first thing in the morning. It is imperative that each individual spend a chosen amount of time talking to God. Equally important is your time spent listening to God. How do you know if the voice you are listening to is God’s? He is the soft gentle voice that you hear during the course of the day that says things like. “I do not think that is a good idea”. You know the one you did not listen to and later on when the crisis is over you wish you had. You asked yourself why did I do that? The other voice, the loud chatty one that can only offer you stuff is constantly leading you down the wrong path. My main objective is to help you to make better choices. To understand that Karma is real. Getting together for an hour each week is nice. What about the other 167 hours that the Darkside spends getting you to do things that are detrimental to your moral well-being. God will never tell you to throw a brick through someone’s window. Evil tells you that prayer is not required or to be taught in schools. I was the Evil narcissistic pathological liar who followed Satan’s game plan of looking for my happiness out there. My contentment was based on the just as soon as I get into the perfect relationship. Buy the most expensive car. Belonging to the right country club in the perfect neighborhood. Getting the impeccable outfit to wear to church on Sunday. My life had to be flawless at all times. I am here to tell you that nothing from out there will bring you the satisfaction and kindness that you crave until you surrender to God. He is the true source of Hope and wisdom. When I was at the lowest separation from God suffering from loneliness. I took no responsibility for my actions. My rage was turned inward which in turn caused me to suffer 22 years of depression. I happened upon the prayer of Saint Francis and changed my life forever. The Darkside is still wondering what happened. He thought he had a convert for life. As I put the prayer into action in my life and live by its principles I immediately acquired peace and serenity. That can only be achieved by finding God and introducing him into my life. It is my intention to help you to find that same peace of mind with the morning prayer and meditations that I am presenting in this book. It is intended to give spiritual advisors daily material to help others cope with their everyday routine. You cannot do this alone. Hopefully I can inspire you to find a Power greater than yourself. Thank You Jesus! June of 2022. Yours truly, James P. Schreiner
