Clay and Brian Singh begin looking into Pontiac and learn that it is part of Omega Security Systems; a multinational arms dealer fronting for a counter espionage organization. However, a power struggle is underway at Pontiac and Clay is contacted by Pontiacs COO Darius Kent. Kent is concerned that an advanced unstable biological weapon is being developed at the companies lab in Bosnia by the companys president, the Colonel. Kent helps Clay and Brian infiltrate the lab using the newly developed counter insurgency macro skin. They pose as two of the companies researchers recently transferred to the lab. Here they are confronted with ultimate biological weapon, the Alastor. Clay and Brian are able to download the Alastor research and escape the lab. Now the two must get back to Dallas with the data intact hopefully in time. The initial field test of the weapon is only days away.

Clay and Brian, posing as two of the company's researchers, access the lab's computers. The two reporters are confronted with the ultimate biological weapon, the "Alastor." Clay and Brian are faced with escaping the lab and getting back to Dallas with the data intact and hopefully in time. The initial field test of the weapon is only days away.

Book excerpt: This book examines the traffic in women for marriage, a phenomenon that has been largely overlooked in international efforts to address the problem of human trafficking. In contrast to current international and state-based approaches to trafficking, which tend to focus on sex trafficking and trafficking for forced labour, this book seeks to establish how marriage as an institution is often implicated in the occurrence of trafficking in women. The book aims firstly to establish why marriage has tended not to be included in dominant conceptions of trafficking in persons and secondly to determine whether certain types of marriage may constitute cases of human trafficking, in and of themselves. Through the use of case studies on forced marriage, mail-order bride (MOB) marriage and Fundamentalist Mormon polygamy, this book demonstrates that certain kinds of marriage may in fact constitute situations of trafficking in persons and together form the under-recognised phenomenon of ‘marriage trafficking’. In addition, the book offers a new perspective on the types of harm involved in trafficking in women by developing a framework for identifying the particular abuses characteristic to marriage trafficking. It argues that the traffic in women for marriage cannot be understood merely as a subset of sex trafficking or trafficking for forced labour, but rather constitutes a distinctive form of trafficking in its own right. Since their emergence in the 1970s, wireless networks have become increasingly pop ular in the computing industry. In the past decade, wireless networks have enabled true mobility. There are currently two versions of mobile wireless networks. An infrastructure network contains a wired backbone with the last hop being wireless. The cellular phone system is an exam ple of an infrastructure network. A multihop ad hoc wireless network has no infrastructure and is thus entirely wireless. A wireless sensor network is an example of a multihop ad hoc wireless network. Ad hoc wireless networking is a technique to support robust and ef ficient operation in mobile wireless networks by incorporating routing functionality into mobile hosts. This technique will be used to realize the dream of "anywhere and anytime computing", which is termed mo bile computing. Mobile computing is a new paradigm of computing in which users carrying portable devices have access to shared infrastruc ture in any location at any time. Mobile computing is a very challenging topic for scientists in computer science and electrical engineering. The representative system for ad hoc wireless networking is called MANET, an acronym for "Mobile Ad hoc NETworks". MANET is an autonomous system consisting of mobile hosts connected by wireless links which can be quickly deployed.

Book excerpt: This book has been nine years in the making; it is derived from court documents, grand jury testimony excerpts and police reports on arrests, investigations and prosecutions associated with the Amherst and Hinton drug-testing labs. Through these documents I discovered that the media and government officials were not giving the people of Massachusetts a true picture of events. Annie Dookhan rigged the evidence she was supposed to be objectively testing to ensure her friends in the DA’s offices and police departments around the state got what they wanted: positive test results that forced defendants to take a plea deal or stipulate to all charges. She was not alone; the drug-addicted chemist, Sonja Farak, was equally culpable, and officers of state agencies both colluded in test-rigging and worked to cover up the scandal when it broke. The evidence is laid out in court documents and the words of the chemists themselves, in email correspondence obtained through hundreds of public records requests. This is a story of government malfeasance and corruption on a shocking level; the public has a right to know what their government does when they think no one is looking. Some of this story has been presented to the public in news and magazine articles and even a Netflix documentary (How to Fix a Drug Scandal), but to date no publication has told the public the whole truth of what happened at the Hinton and Amherst drug labs.
