It tells about the incredible adventures of Santa Claus’ little assistant, Johnny, who was assigned an important mission to deliver a magic reindeer sleigh from Santa Claus to Father Frost. However, on his way, Johnny found himself in the city of dwarfs. Thanks to the magic spells of the fortune-teller and sorceress, Ariffira, Johnny became as small as the rest of the Thunder-City inhabitants. Moreover, the little Santa Claus became involved in the local’s Christmas party, and attended the “Ice Bowling” competition between the “Jackals” and the “Buffalos”. In the end, he lost the reindeer sleigh. But then the tiny Johnny… Well, if you, my young reader, want to know what happened to him then, read this merry fairy tale immediately. And, as a result, you’ll be convinced that even the most amazing miracle can really happen on Christmas or New Year’s Eve, and Santa Claus will appear on your doorstep for sure. I give you my magic word! Published by Animedia Company.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the illustrated edition including all the beautiful drawings by Mary Cowles Clark. In this story, we learn how the infant Santa Claus, abandoned in a forest, was rescued by Ak, the Master Woodman, and was adopted and cared for by a lovely wood-nymph. As he grew older, his kind and friendly nature, and his skill in making toys (did you know that Santa Claus made the first toy?) caused him to be loved by all the children in the nearby villages. He soon began to make longer trips to distribute the many play-things that he had so cleverly fashioned, and finally he was given permission to borrow up to ten deer once a year, on Christmas Eve, to lend speed to his journeys, so that it might be possible for every child on earth to have a toy. So the fame of Santa Claus spread, and after many years, when his life seemed drawing to a close, the Immortals of the world voted to bestow upon him the Mantle of Immortality.

Frank Baum With Introduction, Illustrations and Book Cover by Melanie Voland - More than 35 of our own black and white illustrations - Unique introduction Can you imagine a world without toys? or Christmas without Santa Claus? Read this classic, but less well-known children's story, by L. Frank Baum, who wrote 'The Wizard of Oz, ' of the life of Santa Claus, or give it as a charming, special, thoughtful Christmas gift. Find out how little Claus was found as an abandoned baby and adopted by the immortal beings of a magical forest; and how, because of the kindness that was shown to him as a child, he develops a wish and mission to bring happiness to all human children; as well as how he develops his abilities to do so, through the influence of the magical beings, and the children he meets; find out how Claus starts making toys, overcomes fierce enemies, gets people to help him, and ultimately achieves immortality himself. Makes a lovely, special, Christmassy bedtime story for younger kids, but some old-fashioned words and phrases may need to be explained during the reading.

Learn how he started to drive a beautiful sleigh drawn by prancing reindeer; why he first came down a chimney; how he filled the first stocking; where the first Christmas tree was decorated; and finally how he came to be known as "Saint Nicholas" and "Santa Claus." Lyman Frank Baum was an American author, actor, and independent filmmaker best known as the creator, along with illustrator W. W. Denslow, of one of the most popular books in American children's literature, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, better known today as simply The Wizard of Oz. Born in Chittenango, New York, into a Protestant family of German origin, he was the seventh of nine children born to Cynthia Stanton and Benjamin Ward Baum, only five of whom survived into adulthood. He was named "Lyman" after his father's brother, but always disliked the name, and preferred to go by "Frank." Frank started writing at an early age, perhaps due to an early fascination with printing. When his father bought him a cheap printing press he used it to produce The Rose Lawn Home Journal with the help of his younger brother Harry. Then in 1897 he wrote and published Mother Goose in Prose, illustrated by Maxfield Parrish. Mother Goose was a moderate success, and allowed Baum to quit his day job. In 1900, Baum and Denslow published The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to much critical and financial acclaim, the book went on to become the bestselling children's book for two years after its initial publication, and the legacy was born.
