Adorno desde sus inicios hasta su obra póstuma, sin sostener la autodisolución de su filosofía en una aporía sin salida, de acuerdo a sus propias premisas epistemológicas, ni mantener la solubilidad de la racionalidad en estética y de su filosofía en arte, tal como ha mantenido la mayoría de la recepción crítica de su pensamiento. Para ello se realiza un minucioso análisis de la obra de Adorno, de su configuración, así como de la lógica interna de su contenido filosófico. De acuerdo con este objetivo se afirma la preocupación ética y estética como punto de partida de una reflexión crítica que quiere evidenciar la irracionalidad de la sociedad dada, asentada en un concepto de razón de dominio identificante que imposibilita una auténtica emancipación social (Dialektik der Aufklärung). Frente a esta idea de razón se propone la configuración de una nueva noción de racionalidad no-idéntica (Negative Dialektik) de carácter dialéctico, material y negativo -en tanto que expresa el sufrimiento humano-, y ello partiendo de los presupuestos afianzados en Kierkegaard, donde se rechazó la filosofía idealista y donde se defendió la posibilidad de una verdadera relación dialéctica entre sujeto y objeto, entre razón y realidad, en el ámbito estético. Ästhetische Theorie emerge así como el lugar propio de una razón dialéctico-estética que ejerce su crítica social y cultural en el campo filosófico y del arte como denuncia y como liberación. Es la utopía de la posibilidad de una verdad donde la injusticia no tenga la última palabra. La racionalidad dialéctico-estética es la instancia normativa de la filosofía de Adorno (recuperada en su enfoque crítico negativo por la "Etica de la Liberación" de Enrique Dussel, quien asume también el giro lingüístico de la posición transformadora).
