Book excerpt: What to Text Him Back to Keep Him Hooked and Make Him BEG to See You Again Did you know that men secretly use texting as a way to "pre-screen" a woman''s romantic value? A woman''s texting habits can reveal a lot about her self-worth, confidence, intelligence, and even her level of class and emotional maturity. Because guys covertly appraise a woman''s relationship potential this way, many women often have no idea that the way they communicate via text is actually sending the wrong message and thus, they unknowingly end up chasing men away. Discover the Secrets of Texting Men to Effortlessly Stand Out from EVERY Other Woman Men have their own unique way of interpreting a woman''s communication attempts. Therefore, although many women mean well, they often do things when texting men that sometimes makes them appear too easy, too needy, too bossy, or too boring...even if these things aren''t necessarily true about them. Texting is the one medium of communication in which a great guy can easily get the wrong idea about you. And as these wrong ideas pile up inside his mind, they usually coalesce into a single romance-killing thought: That he can do better than you. So, what''s a girl supposed to do then? Simple really. All she needs to do is understand exactly how men appraise female texting habits and how to use this knowledge to differentiate herself as being a high-value woman. Doing so will make it easy for her to stand out from EVERY other woman who texts him. How to Use Texting to Tease, Flirt, and Entice Your Way into Becoming His TOP Priority If you want to arouse the kind of long-term desire in a man that makes him eager to pursue you for dates, romance, commitment, and more, you must take advantage of texting and use it to make subtle and seductive displays of your high-status, and thus, your high-value. Fortunately, this is exactly what you''re going to learn in, Texts So Good He Can''t Ignore! In this fun and insightful dating book, you''ll learn the texting habits of high-value women and gain access to a vast collection of irresistible, man-melting text messages that make men EAGER to text you back and desperate to see you again. And because this in-depth guide focuses on how men think (unlike most dating books for women), it will give you a distinct advantage over your peers when it comes to texting men. Here''s what you''re going to learn inside: Exactly what to text a guy when he''s stringing you along and only doing the BARE MINIMUM to keep you interested. How to use mischievous "Feisty Girl" texts to get a man to finally ask you out (or ask you out AGAIN), while making it seem like it was all HIS idea. What to do (and what NOT to do) if a guy suddenly stops texting you or starts responding to your texts less and less. How to get him to CALL YOU instead of texting all the time. What to text a man to "let him down easy" but KEEP him interested whenever he sends an inappropriate or overly sexual text. Exactly what to text a guy who keeps "coming BACK from the DEAD" and suddenly starts taking an interest in you again. (Hint: These cheeky little texts can end his mind games for GOOD!) A simple method for starting conversations that IMMEDIATELY grabs his attention and makes him EAGER to text you back. What to text a guy you know and like to initiate his "Chase Mode" and make him see you as MORE than "just-a-friend." Game-changing answers to every woman''s MOST PUZZLING questions about men''s texting habits. And much, much more... Would You Like to Know More? Get started right away and discover how to text a man to finally get him OFF of his smartphone and ON more dates with you. Scroll to the top of the page and select the ''buy button'' now.

When you meet a man you're attracted to, you turn on that charm, you deliver a coy smile, you walk away and he's hooked. Yet, when it comes to texting, you're all thumbs. You're anxious and you feel incompetent. You lose all confidence. As a result, you text instinctively, like a woman, which is the natural thing for you to do. All this emotion, anger and frustration is normal. Your flirting skills have evolved over millions of years. Flirting comes as naturally to you as flight to a bird. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a timely response to a rather urgent call to seek an updated methodology in rereading and reappraising early Chinese texts in light of newly discovered early writings. For a long time, the concept of authorship in the formation and transmission of early Chinese texts has been misunderstood. The nominal author who should mainly function as a guide to text formation and interpretation is considered retrospectively as the originator and writer of the text. This book illustrates that although some notions about the text as the author’s property began to appear in some Eastern Han texts, a strict correlation between the author and the text results from later conceptions of literary history. Before the modern era, there existed a conceptual gap between an author and a writer. A pre-modern Chinese text could have had both an author and a writer, or even multiple authors and multiple writers. This work is the first study addressing these issues by more systematically emphasizing the connection of the text, the author, and the religious and sociopolitical settings in which these issues were embedded. It is expected to constitute a palpable contribution to Chinese studies and the discipline of philology in general

This book was released on 2005-09-09 with total page 662 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Preaching pastors, ministers, and priests know how quickly Sundays come and go. The Lectionary Commentary will not slow the pace of the weekly calendar, but it will help assure that sermon preparation begins with a solid engagement with Scripture. Designed to "jump start" the difficult task of sermon preparation, this indispensable three-volume work gathers exegetical essays on biblical texts from the Revised Common Lectionary. Covering every Sunday of the three-year liturgical cycle, as well as Christmas Day, Epiphany, and Ascension Day, the readings are arranged in canonical order so as to be of use to all preachers. Seventy-eight pastors, priests, and teachers from a variety of Christian traditions have contributed their insights to The Lectionary Commentary. Designed to answer the question What does the preacher need to know about this text in order to preach a faithful sermon from it?, each of their essays closely considers its specific biblical text, all the while remaining alert to the contemporary context in which the sermon will be spoken and heard. The result is an invaluable resource that will aid in the difficult task of facilitating a meaningful encounter between Holy Scripture and our modern world. This volume, The Third Readings: The Gospels, provides exegetical commentary on the lectionary readings for the witnesses to Jesus Christ written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Also unique to this volume is an excellent essay by C. Clifton Black on Augustinian preaching and the nurture of Christians. Consulting Editors: Richard A. Burridge Thomas W. Gillespie Colin E. Book excerpt: This huge book of eighteen of the Lost Books of the Bible contains the following, NONE of which are Public Domain translations (beware of imitations): The First Book of Adam and Eve; The Second Book of Adam and Eve; The Slavonic Life of Adam and Eve; The First Book of Enoch; The Book of Jubilees; The Book of Jasher; The Story of Ahikar; The Apocalypse of Abraham; The Apocalypse of Thomas; 4 Ezra; 2 Baruch; The War Scroll: The Sons of Dark Against the Sons of Light; The Gospel of Philip; The Gospel of Mary Magdalene; The Apocryphon of John (The Secret Book of John); The Gospel of Thomas; The Gospel of Judas; Acts 29. The massive 684 page book does not attempt to explain why the books were not included in the Bible. To attempt to do so would not only be cursory given the lack of space, but more importantly, would be most unfair to readers as this is matter for specialist academics, and they have written books on the subject. Note: Translators use the symbols [...] to signify a missing word in an ancient text. In this book there are symbols such as this to designate missing words of ancient texts.

It collects important Chinese writings about painting, from the earliest examples through the fourteenth century, allowing readers to see how the art of this rich era was seen and understood in the artists’ own times. Some of the texts in this treasury fall into the broad category of aesthetic theory; some describe specific techniques; some discuss the work of individual artists. The texts are presented in accurate and readable translations, and prefaced with artistic and historical background information to the formative periods of Chinese theory and criticism. A glossary of terms and an appendix containing brief biographies of 270 artists and critics add to the usefulness of this volume.
