Dans l'objectif d'accroître la sécurité, nous proposons au conducteur un apport d'une connaissance anticipée de la route par un système de cartographie embarqué mais aussi de modèles de prédiction de la dynamique véhicule pour l'anticipation d'une situation de danger. Le système d'aide à la conduite est basé sur l'évaluation en temps réel de la situation dynamique du véhicule. L'introduction originale d'un véhicule virtuel (Avatar), projeté à l'avant du véhicule réel, permet en effet d'anticiper sur l'adéquation de l'état dynamique du véhicule par rapport à la route, en vue d'éviter les situations accidentogènes. L'évaluation de l'adéquation de la dynamique du véhicule avec son environnement nécessite le développement de modèles de véhicules suffisamment réduits pour être utilisés en ligne (observateur, estimateur, calcul de critères). Nous avons analysé les situations de conduites et définis un ensemble de situations pertinentes, dont l'association permet de reproduire un itinéraire réel du véhicule. Pour cela nous avons développé un observateur multimodèle par modes glissants notamment pour l'estimation de l'adhérence et des attributs de la route. Le système présenté offre une aide active au conducteur, dans ce cadre, nous avons proposé une stratégie de commande pour la régulation du glissement dans le cas d'un freinage par système ABS. Le but est de maximiser le freinage en assurant un maximum d'adhérence, et donc de renforcer les actions du conducteur, dans les premières phases additives. En cas d'évolution de la criticité, le système prend totalement en charge le freinage en fixant la consigne (phase ultime supplétive).
