Book excerpt: There comes a time in your life when you finally get it...when you stand in the middle of the debris of the dreams of what was supposed to be your life and ask, "How Did I Get Here?" This is where I found myself. As the tears fell and the anger rose, I yelled "No More Victim!" The Supreme Warrior within me had risen! Are you ready to fight for the life of your dreams? It's time to call upon the Supreme Warrior within! EXCERPT: CHAPTER 1 - DECLARE WAR ON YOUR LIFE Most of us start life full of energy, hope, confidence, and excitement for the future. We believe that life will turn out exactly as we dream it will be. Those dreams usually consist of a happy marriage, healthy children, and a great career. Regardless of the variations of our dreams, we all have a picture of the life we consider our happily-ever-after. People are suffering from devastating losses and shocking betrayals. Lives have been ravaged by divorce, violence against children, illness, financial upheavals, natural disasters, and business/government corruption. Everywhere you look, it seems like people are losing their natural minds. Often, our questions about these traumatic situations are left unanswered. What remains is anger, emptiness and looming darkness. Most of us were not prepared for life's harsh reality: That life does not always go as planned. As a result, people give up on the happily-ever-after dreams they started with. They decide that happily-might-not-be-possible is a more realistic expectation. Many people attempt to escape from the emotional pain of life's challenges by turning to addictive drugs, overeating, recreational sex, and/or idleness. They believe that avoiding the pain will make life easier and eliminate further trials. It doesn't. Actually they've added to the pain. And might have further ravaged their lives that was once easily redeemable. Instead of fighting forward, they tried to escape the pain of life's trials. Yet, trials are a part of life from which no living person can escape. These people age badly as hopelessness shape their lifeless and forlorn faces. Once filled with great dreams, they are now depleted by added life trauma. It is human nature to hope and fight for a thriving and happy life. It is your calling to be a Supreme Warrior and fight forward regardless of what life throws your way! Only death awaits those who are beaten down and remain down. You must crawl until enough strength is gained to stand again. Until you take your last breath on the Earth, you must never give up! This is the path of the Supreme Warrior. CHAPTER 2 - THE SUPREME WARRIOR SUPREME FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES CHAPTER 3 - ARMOR UP FOR THE BATTLEFIELD CHAPTER 4 - LOOK AT THE PAST BUT DON'T LIVE THERE CHAPTER 5 - THRIVE AMONGST THE CUNNING AND RUTHLESS CHAPTER 6 MENTAL POWER OF THE SUPREME WARRIOR CHAPTER 7 DON'T LET THE DARK SIDE RULE nor FOOL YOU CHAPTER 8 BALANCED LIVING and the SUPREME WARRIOR CHAPTER 9 SUPREME WARRIOR CONTRACT CHAPTER 10 CREATE AND EXECUTE YOUR BATTLE PLAN SUPREME WARRIOR IS POWER PACKED and LIFE CHANGING! Book excerpt: This is the first scholarly book to look at the role of the 'warrior' in modern war, arguing that warriors' actions, and indeed thoughts, are increasingly patrolled and that the modern battlefield is an unforgiving environment in which to discharge their vocation. As war becomes ever more instrumentalized, so its existential dimension is fast being hollowed out. Technology is threatening the agency of the warrior and this volume paints a picture of early twenty-first century warfare, helping to explain why so many aspiring warriors are becoming disenchanted with their profession. Written by a leading thinker on warfare, this book sets out to explain what makes an American Marine a ‘warrior’ and why suicide bombers, or Al Qaeda fighters, do not qualify for this title. This distinction is one of the central features of the current War on Terror – and one that justifies much more extensive discussion than it has so far received. The Warrior Ethos will be of great interest to all students of military history, strategy, military sociology and war studies.

Each of us struggles every day to define and defend our sense of purpose and integrity, to justify our existence on the planet and to understand, if only within our own hearts, who we are and what we believe in. Do we fight by a code? If so, what is it? What is the Warrior Ethos? Where did it come from? What form does it take today? How do we (and how can we) use it and be true to it in our internal and external lives? The Warrior Ethos is intended not only for men and women in uniform, but artists, entrepreneurs and other warriors in other walks of life. The book examines the evolution of the warrior code of honor and "mental toughness." It goes back to the ancient Spartans and Athenians, to Caesar's Romans, Alexander's Macedonians and the Persians of Cyrus the Great (not excluding the Garden of Eden and the primitive hunting band). Sources include Herodotus, Thucydides, Plutarch, Xenophon, Vegetius, Arrian and Curtius--and on down to Gen. George Patton, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, and Israeli Minister of Defense, Moshe Dayan.

This book was released on 2006-03-07 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Decline and Fall of Practically Everyone is a concise history of humanity. It is written from the point of view of someone whose outlook on life has been transformed by primal therapy and who has become a lifelong primal person. No other history has been written from this unique perspective. The Decline and Fall of Practically Everyone offers to each one who is ready for it a fresh glimpse into his own history and into a sound understanding of the course all human history has taken toward the devolution of original human consciousness into unconscious self-awareness. In Part I, the author defines consciousness, unconscious self-awareness, primal pain, primaling and what living a primal life involves. He pictures the primal life as putting ones feet on the path toward greater consciousness. The authors stated purpose is to wake us up to our condition of unconscious self-awareness. He feels that, unless we are awakened, humanity will continue to careen toward destroying itself and the life-sustaining nurture of Earth. The authors approach to the necessary awakening is historical. If one can see history through primal eyes, one will not only see the devolution of consciousness into unconscious self-awareness down through the millennia, one will sense it in ones own life and do something about it. Then in Part II, he explores various attributes of unconscious self-awareness that are relevant to a primal understanding of history. These subjects include the basic split, the point at which unconscious self-awareness completely suppresses consciousness; the location and upward movement of unconscious self-awareness in the body; the experience of time and space; the changing nature of the supreme deity and the four motifs of religion. In Part III, the author begins to explore the historical devolution of original consciousness into unconscious self-awareness. Subjects revealing the devolution include beliefs regarding the origin of the cosmos and of humanity; the destiny of the dead; shamanism; the several millennia-long invasions by Warrior God societies of Mother Goddess cultures and the revolutionary religions of Buddhism and Christianity. In the authors view, everything that has happened since the 1st millennium B.C.E. is but a footnote to it, and he therefore skips to the Americas in the 15th century. In Part IV, the author concentrates on greed and lust for power as the chief characteristics of unconscious self-awareness in the modern period. He begins with Columbus and the euphemistically named Age of Exploration to illustrate how greed and the lust for power dominated the Western European Colonial powers. Next, he shows how the Age of Enlightenment and its major philosophers and economists provided the basis for our Founding Fathers to craft a constitution that enshrined themselves as a rich and powerful, elite ruling class. To illustrate the greed and lust for power of unconscious self-awareness in the rest of U.S. history, he discusses economics, individualism, class and class struggle, differences among people and between men and women in the degree of unconscious self-awareness, family parenting models, unilateralism as the national expression of individualism and the U.S. as a nation dominated by greed, by a lust for power, by a quest for world domination and by the willingness to use violence and terror to achieve these ends. In the final chapter, the author reiterates his purpose of awakening his readers from the state of unconscious self-awareness. In contrast to a strictly psychological approach to fulfill his purpose, the author has adopted, in addition, a perspective that encompasses the whole sweep of human history. He ends by offering a cautious optimism for the future.

The three Guna’s are the reason because of which every human behaviour, his Karma & his deeds are different from one another. Out of these Guna’s first is ‘Tapas’, desire for darkness, those who do not think about pros & cons before doing their karma fall in this category. Like animals & birds fall under this category since they only seek bodily pleasures and do not think before an act........”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume examines how pre-Columbian societies in the Americas envisioned their cosmos and iteratively modeled it through the creation of particular objects and places. It emphasizes that American societies did this to materialize overarching models and templates for the shape and scope of the cosmos, the working definition of cosmoscape. Noting a tendency to gloss over the ways in which ancestral Americans envisioned the cosmos as intertwined and animated, the authors examine how cosmoscapes are manifested archaeologically, in the forms of objects and physically altered landscapes. This book’s chapters, therefore, offer case studies of cosmoscapes that present themselves as forms of architecture, portable artifacts, and transformed aspects of the natural world. In doing so, it emphasizes that the creation of cosmoscapes offered a means of reconciling peoples experiences of the world with their understandings of them.

Book excerpt: “A riveting futuristic tale of global ruin and rescue...In this post-apocalyptic tale, a fierce woman sets out to rescue her kidnapped sister and exact revenge...Stewart constructs a chilling, barren world and suspensefully chronicles Deirdre's mission...This is a thoroughly absorbing book, one filled with thrilling action and psychologically subtle character portrayal."-KIRKUS REVIEWS "An exhilarating story about love and family set in a postapocalyptic landscape...The ubiquity of black-powder guns, horses, and outlaws gives this future-set novel the intriguing flavor of a Western, as do its gritty scenes of graphic violence. Though its pacing is frenetic, the story is exhilarating: bullets are shot through eyes, bones are broken, and wounds heal over time if at all. Meanwhile, people's relationships evolve in unexpected ways; all are complex."-FOREWORD CLARION REVIEWS Deirdre lives for one purpose: to get her sister back. Riding her Soul Horse, Danny, she relentlessly pursues the kidnappers through an America wrecked by the Great Virus, endless civil war and a collapse of the global order called the Breakdown. She's forced by circumstances to ally with a nomadic photographer. His gentle decency moves her to the core, but her mission leads her away from the man she's falling in love with and toward a confrontation with the people who hold her sister. To defeat them, she'll need the help of the powerful Nations, a league of indigenous tribes. But there's a problem. The Nations consider Deirdre a deadly enemy. They've even given her a nickname that signifies their grudging respect for this ferocious adversary. Crazy Hawk.

Using concrete existential phenomena such as the learning process, how children mature into adults, and how fear can develop into courage, he establishes an understanding of metaphysical transformation.
