Book excerpt: WHEN YOUR JOB IS DISPATCHING CREEPS TO THE HEREAFTER, A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND. Lily loves working for Satan. Being one of Her Chosen means a gig filled with fashion, food, and the best supernatural gal pals a succubus could imagine. Still, being dumped by the first mortal she’d fallen in love with in centuries has put Lily in a serious funk. IF THINGS GET ANY HOTTER, LILY MIGHT GET BURNED. . . . Nathan Coleman bolted because he couldn’t handle Lily’s inner demon, but blond, buff, blue-eyed Marten is a delicious distraction, and he’s one of her own kind. Only Lily’s not sure she can trust him–especially when her best friend’s demon boyfriend is kidnapped, the ranks of the Hierarchy of Hell are gunning for her downfall, and Lily’s dashing P.I. beau is back on the scene, rekindling flames. Two men, too much temptation, and assassins closing in–if Lily survives, who claims her heart? “Sleek, sexy and fun.” –Susan Sizemore, author of Primal Desires

Ive fallen weary to the unyielding lustful grips of being a Sodomite for as long as I could remember; I Bite! its what I do best and Ive taken a big chunk out of my Beloved ShinShins life. Its taken some time to work this out; Ive been selfishly contemplating while struggling on how I go about explaining this piece to you, You; the General Public. Thousands of pages full of written documents and recorded records that had been left behind for me to find, sort through and tell stories of. Volume Three will be about that of ShinShin-Igami; who has been an infectious thorn in my side all these past many years. ShinShin hasnt been as careless and reckless or a bastard like myself and although he tries many time to change the way he is; its seems that no one ever change who they really are; no matter how hard or how much theyve sacrificed to do so. People only find ways of covering up for who they really are and established a fictitious persona in faces of their associates. This piece will detail the relationship that ShinShin has been involved with a contagious succubus who drained him of his youth and vitality, where his World was turned upside down by a bitch of a mother and her conniving whored daughter. Although ShinShin recovered from his misfortunes with the opposite sex; he bears the scars and scabs that she left embedded all over his body and this unfortunate situation has made him realized that life is sometime filled with ill-hearted and untruthful people who will take advantage of an ignorant giving person like himself. The eighteen months relation that ShinShin had been involved only gave him few moments of pleasures and much headaches and heartaches that eventually led to his unfortunate unresolved comatose death these past months. The person that came up with the phrase, The apple doesnt fall very far from the tree! was absolutely correct in uttering that statement; ShinShin have found that to be very true in his personal life because he was involved with a dishonest female who took after her evil-hearted mother. ShinShins relationship with this deceiving female was complicated with lies and deceptions where a sinful mother and ignorant daughter took advantage of his ever giving heart and good nature. During their relations, ShinShin loved the contagious succubus absolutely, only to find that he was being played and used after an 18 months long devotions and commitments; she was seeing one other or more while they were intimately and passionately involved. Personally, I feel that ShinShin have been the victim of an ugly hearted person. ShinShin had given up much for this contagious ugly unruly person; financially and emotionally; shunning his extended family; good friends and their family, giving up on promotions and putting aside higher education to make time for what he thought was true love. Although their relationships has taken the intimate/involved couples on several trips locally and internationally and got the two to participate in various events and outings together where they have crossed the Atlantic and Pacific and during that entire time there were signs of her deceits and lies; and yet, being a Pagan Christian; ShinShin was so gullible that he ignored what was happening in front him. He was ignorantly in love and like they say, Love is blind, and blind like an asshole ShinShin was during that entire year and a half. He was much into this ugly-heart female and gave her his all and what he got in return wasnt nearly reciprocal. She has given him much heartache thats complicated with various mental/physical diseased infections. Ive had my share of ups and down in life; my early childhood was spent imprisoned, escaping and hiding away from the tyranny of the Khmer Rouge. After many years of relocating and moving around in various Refugee Encampments with my family, my early years in

Each of the films is discussed at length with detailed credits and critical commentary. There are six appendices: 1990s cliches and conventions, 1990s hall of fame, memorable ad lines, movie references in Scream, 1990s horrors vs. The X-Files, and the decade's ten best. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Playwright, actor and director Charles Ludlam (1943–1987) helped to galvanize the Ridiculous style of theater in New York City starting in the 1960s. Decades after his death, his place in the chronicle of American theater has remained constant, but his influence has changed. Although his Ridiculous Theatrical Company shut its doors, the Ludlamesque Ridiculous has continued to thrive and remain a groundbreaking genre, maintaining its relevance and potency by metamorphosing along with changes in the LGBTQ community. Author Sean F. Edgecomb focuses on the neo-Ridiculous artists Charles Busch, Bradford Louryk, and Taylor Mac to trace the connections between Ludlam’s legacy and their performances, using alternative queer models such as kinetic kinship, lateral historiography, and a new approach to camp. Charles Ludlam Lives! demonstrates that the queer legacy of Ludlam is one of distinct transformation—one where artists can reject faithful interpretations in order to move in new interpretive directions.

Book excerpt: An all-encompassing view of the life and work of one of Canada’s greatest living artists Michael Snow is rightly recognized as one of the greatest Canadian artists. In a productive, lengthy career, he has, in a wide variety of genres and media, asked (and often answered) some of the most vexing and important questions in the history of art. During his lifetime, the notion of what constitutes a work of art has undergone many changes, and his work has consistently been at the forefront of that discussion. Michael Snow: Lives and Works examines all aspects of the artist’s work and provides a guide to understanding its subtleties and complexities. The book also charts the life of Snow: his early years as a student and artist in Toronto, his stay in New York City, his turbulent marriage to Joyce Wieland, his reputation as a lady’s man, and his adventures in movie making and improvised music. In many ways, Snow is the visual artist as intellectual: his images are vibrant and compelling, but so are the ideas behind them. Ultimately, his work is about perception. What do we really see when we look at a work of art? What is the act of looking all about? What exactly is a work of art? Michael Snow: Lives and Works is a personal and intimate portrait of an artist who has helped shaped the face of Canadian art in our time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Not Even Then, the debut collection by Brian Blanchfield, introduces a poetry both compressed and musically fluid, beseechingly intimate and oddly authoritative. Blanchfield conducts readers through a unique, theatrical realm where concepts and personages are enlivened into action: Continuity, Coincidence, Symmetry, and Shame keep uneasy company there with Marcel Duchamp and Johnny Weissmuller, Lord Alfred Douglas and "Blue Boy" Master Lambton, Juliet’s Nurse and Althusser’s Moses. With its kinked and suspensive language, Not Even Then draws on the lyric tradition, even as it complicates that tradition’s dualism of self and other. Likeness is always under investigation in the book’s irreducible arrangements of alterity. From "Red Habits": "I imagine the interferences explained / in don’t-think-twice and reverse advice / and by habits for both head and breast / hers and hers as red as mine at chamber check. / We are each herself a further interference." No answer rests unquestioned in its turn; even the book title’s cynicism is challenged by a poetics alive to possibility, where Possibility is—impetuously, ecstatically—companionable. "The listener you are," writes Blanchfield, "the less alone."
