Book excerpt: The present investigation to study the "Effect of nitrogen and phosphorus on the growth, flowering and yield of bird of paradise (Strelitzia reginae) under shade net" was carried out at Floriculture Research Farm, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, ASPEE College of Horticulture & Forestry, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari in the year 2015-2016. The experiment was laid out in Large Plot Technique and data were analyzed in Completely Randomized Design with Factorial concept (FCRD) with three replications. The experiment comprising three levels of nitrogen (N1=20, N2=30 and N3=40 g/plant/year) and three levels of phosphorus (P1=10, P2=15 and P3=20 g/plant/year) with nine treatment combinations. Result revealed that the nitrogen and phosphorus application significantly influenced the vegetative growth, flowering and flower production of the bird of paradise.
