Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The challenges of our customers are more and more diverse. A couple of strong trends like digitalization and cyber security issues are facing the daily life of all of us. This is true for our business and private life. That "People make a difference" is a strong Vineyard belief. Therefore, in this book the Vineyard consultants are interviewed in order to present their individual consulting experiences. As a starting point the current customer challenges and consulting trends are summarized. A contribution towards the GDPR deadline and approaches how to deal with these changes is following. The next article is suggesting how to handle the need in the pharmaceutical industry to communicate with business partners beyond the firewall. Based on Vineyards long experience in the IT Cyber Security world the following article is emphasizing why security is priority zero and how IT Security standards and frameworks can be used in a beneficial and lean way. The following two articles have a strong technical focus. While the first one is introducing the new technology "Summarizer" which is capable to compress existing files from a content perspective the following is about what an agile methodology can deliver in the field IT Service Management. The benefits of a focused eDiscovery approach for litigation processes are discussed in another contribution. How transitional changes for companies as a result of Brexit for example can be managed is following. Risk management in the cyber field for the banking industry and leading in projects are two interviews that reflect typical customer challenges. How to set-up an electronic archive as part of a digitalization initiative is outlined in an expert interview for the insurance industry. The benefits of a focused eDiscovery approach for litigation processes are discussed in another impulse. An interview about knowledge management is closing this book. As a key component for the customer in a knowledge society it is discussed how this can be approached for a consultancy. If you focus your deep dives you can also see the little things in a broader context. We wish our readers inspiring insights and new impulses to find the individual balance between the right deep dives and the ability for the helicopter view. Many thanks again to all Vineyard colleagues contributing to this new Vineyard book.

Book excerpt: The legal industry has long been risk averse, but when it comes to adapting to the experience-driven world created by companies like Netflix, Uber, and Airbnb, adherence to the old status quo could be the death knell for today's law firms. In The Client-Centered Law Firm, Clio cofounder Jack Newton offers a clear-eyed and timely look at how providing a client-centered experience and running an efficient, profitable law firm aren't opposing ideas. With this approach, they drive each other. Covering the what, why, and how of running a client-centered practice, with examples from law firms leading this revolution as well as practical strategies for implementation, The Client-Centered Law Firm is a rallying call to unlock the enormous latent demand in the legal market by providing client-centered experiences, improving internal processes, and raising the bottom line.

Book excerpt: i’ve got peter gabriel’s “I Don’t Remember” going thru my head this morning . . . and most of yesturday, and the day before. it seems important to some part of my soul which sits with signs and applause everytime it goes thru my head. they like the drive of the artist’s expression of frustration and anxiety which comes thru in a manic crazyness. the song is an example of something that flashes us spiritually . . . maybe unlike a man in a trenchcoat . . . wearing shorts with a tee-shirt . . . flashing us briefly (ow!) as we walk by. the words “believe in god” embelished on his shirt echo on the canvas of the imagination. it doesn’t matter if we turn around, run after him and chide him in his actions. it doesn’t matter if by doing this it puts him in the same alagory as a pervert . . . and by action, god as well. ultimately tho, the tired, worn out god, quietly sitting in a courner, desperatly trying to believe in himself . . . probably wondering how valid this whole soap opera is, and whether or not spiritual flashers help or hurt his cause. now i got one of the songs from “the last temptation of christ” going thru my head . . . soundtrack ala peter gabriel as well. another spiritual flasher . . . who, jesus or peter gabriel? both an arrow pointing at a path to be walked . . . or a voice to listen to . . . or a feeling to behold. the hardest part is opening your heart up to the option. the option to be open. ( . . . maybe it’s god that’s trying to get into a working relationship with us and it’s us that flinch and put it back up on a pedistal.) . . . why pursue it then? the path. you might accidently get superpowers or something . . . start levitating, healing the sick, curing the blind. become an issue . . . to be delt with by turkeys that can’t fly. walk around, wonder when thanksgiving is. wonder if you look like a turkey. if you are a turkey walking around with turkeys talking turkey talk about how great it is to be a turkey . . . waiting for other turkeys to come over and watch turkey friends on turkey tv. and each turkey has the same turkey right to talk turkey to any turkey it wants in a frantic pace with a frantic face . . . then it’s a good turkey day to be a turkey. gobble it up the daily rut. question your life avoid the knife. be not a turkey entwined behind the line of commonality to turkey HQ. after awhile, you fall into the style. you are accepted, people talk to you. and you find flaws in the turkey tune.

Using a unique simple-to-complex approach, Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises for the NCLEX® Examination, 3rd Editionestablishes your foundational knowledge in management of care, then provides exercises of increasing difficulty to help you build confidence in your prioritization, delegation, and patient assignment skills. "..certainly a great resource for use in any healthcare setting." Reviewed by Anne Duell on behalf of Nursing Times, September 2015 UNIQUE! Emphasis on the NCLEX Examination's management-of-care focus addresses the heavy emphasis on prioritization, delegation, and patient assignment in the current NCLEX Examination (17-23% of the 2013 NCLEX-RN Exam). UNIQUE! Three-part organization establishes foundational knowledge and then provides exercises of increasing difficulty to help you build confidence in your prioritization, delegation, and patient assignment skills. Answer key at the back of the book offers a detailed rationale and an indication of the focus of the question to encourage formative assessment. Introduction chapter by delegation expert Ruth Hansten provides guidelines for prioritization, delegation, and patient assignment decisions as well as a concise, practical foundation on which Parts 2 and 3 build. Part 2: Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment in Common Health Scenarios give you practice in applying the principles from Part 1 with straightforward NCLEX-style multiple-choice, multiple-select, ordering, and short-answer questions to help you develop and build confidence in prioritization, delegation, and patient assignment skills while working within the confines of relatively simple health scenarios. Part 3: Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment in Complex Health Scenarios utilizes unfolding cases that build on the skills learned in Part 2 to equip you to make sound decisions in realistic, complex health scenarios involving complicated health problems and/or challenging patient assignment decisions and help you learn to "think like nurses" by developing what Benner (2010) calls "clinical imagination." NEW! Fully interactive question functionality features optional online answer submission with automated scoring. NEW! The all-important QSEN initiative is addressed by: Introducing the QSEN initiative and QSEN competencies in Part I Including a new chapter focused primarily on safety and other "nursing fundamentals" issues Identifying corresponding QSEN competencies and Concepts for each question in the Answer Key in the Evolve Instructor Resources NEW! Pediatric Problems and Psychiatric-Mental Health Problems chapters expand on content formerly integrated into body systems chapters to provide you with a more thorough understanding of these key clinical areas. NEW! NCLEX chart-format questions include six patient "charts" in Case Study 6 (Home Health) to reflect the NCLEX Exam's chart-format questions. NEW! Design and navigation enhancements include page cross-references at the bottom of each page, quick-reference tabs on the answer key, and a new two- color design. NEW! Additional questions address the newborn, immunization, catheter-related infection, and ventilator-related infection.
