Book excerpt: Tears of a Woman . . . from Sadness to Joy is the triumphant life story of Satara Williams You will be inspired by her courage and strength to overcome the many obstacles life brought her. Satara shares her story in the hopes of reaching out to any woman who is searching for love in all the wrong places---through alcohol, drugs, and especially men, for these only add to the pain and sadness. Satara shares, ""When I surrendered everything over to God, that was the best thing that ever happened to me. I now know I am safe in God's arms. Through all the tears I have shed, I am becoming the woman God intended me to be."" First-time author Vickie Krall was guided to write Satara's journey, and expresses that ""Satara is a Habitat for Humanity Heroine."" She knows you will be inspired by Satara's strength, hope and faith in God, as she never gave up the search to find the home she deserved and a place where she finally belonged. Satara now proudly owns her own Habitat for Humanity Home, and 10% of book profits will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, FL.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I am Major Subhash Sasne (Retd.) presently residing in Pune. We all know normally that autobiographies are written by legendary, well-known people and celebrities. I belong to none of the aforementioned categories. Notwithstanding, I have ventured to narrate my real-life story in this book, An Inspirational Story. It highlights my struggles in my childhood and my journey as a Fauji and physical training instructor in the army; my aspirations for establishing world records and associated challenges faced in fulfilling my dreams; my efforts to become an army officer; unplanned, premature retirement; financial crunches; opportunity in the Department of Sainik Welfare, Maharashtra; helping thousands of ex-servicemen; Veer Naris and their dependent children and conceptualising the Pre-Primary Fitness and Sports Programme in Maharashtra involving the conduct of physical tests for over two lacs children. I deeply feel that by reading my story, the readers will get inspired to do something extraordinary in their life and also pursue their goals in the actual world.

Book Synopsis The Story of Indian Manufacturing by : Vijay K. Seth
Download or read book The Story of Indian Manufacturing written by Vijay K. Seth and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-09-29 with total page 319 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book discusses the role historical events played in determining the pattern of growth of Indian manufacturing. Two important historical events significantly influenced the course of Indian manufacturing from the 15th century AD. The first was the arrival of European merchants via sea route pioneered by Vasco-da-Gamma in 1498 and the other was the dawn of the Mughal Empire in 1526. The book explores how these two events provided the appropriate stimulus for the emergence of traditional flexible manufacturing in India and how they played a vital role in the pattern of growth of the Indian manufacturing: The Mughal Empire created an integrated economy of continental size whereas European trading companies expanded the commercial connectivity of the Indian economy and South East Asia. It further investigates how the circumstances created by the colonial administration, factor endowment and market conditions created the complex forms of manufacturing enterprises that India inherited at the time of independence. It is a valuable resource for students of history, economic history, business history and the history of technology.
