Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the outset, the implications of Standing Firm through the Great Apostasy are terrifying. In fact, the most alarming aspect of this book is its utter plausibility. As Steve Gallagher leads his reader through a systematic and piercing examination of Scripture, the Great Apostasy emerges, not as a future event of which to be forewarned, but as the very essence of today's postmodern Church. In this thorough, and sometimes disquieting, investigation of the biblical predictions about the Great Apostasy, readers quickly come to realize what the Bible clearly reveals: there will be a Church within the Church during the end-times. Today, like tares in the wheat field, false adherents are growing up alongside true believers. But how will we know them? What is the hallmark of the Apostate Church? What are the distinguishing qualities of its rank and file confessors? This is where Gallagher is at his best. By mining the treasure-laden writings of biblical scholars from past centuries and carefully examining the sacred Scriptures, he presents the reader with a classic portrait of the Apostate Church: a prevailing self-centeredness, widespread sensuality, and rebellion to authority. At first glance it seems unthinkable that such words could be attached to the lives of confessing Christians. But by the end it becomes all too clear that those who would cause "the way of the truth to be maligned" sit in our pews, sing in our choirs and stand in our pulpits.

Book excerpt: After many years of wandering in a secular humanist wilderness, James L. Morrisson became a Christian at age 66. He quickly developed a deep love for the life-giving truth of Scripture. Standing Firm in the Faith reflects his rich and varied training and experience. It has the broad perspective of a student of history; the sharp reasoning of a lawyer; the practical, down-to-earth examples of a teacher; and the passion of a classical musician. It also reflects the love of a man who is "Dad" and "Grandpa" to many members of his church. The purpose of Standing Firm in the Faith is very practical-to let Scripture stir people into action. Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned Christian, it will give you a solid, Scriptural foundation so that you can stand your ground in these challenging times. This is more than a discussion of important Scriptural principles. It is also a personal testimony of how the life-giving, mind-transforming power of Scripture can change our lives. "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love." (1 Corinthians 16:13-14, NIV)

This book was released on with total page 470 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The prophet Brigham Young taught the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in a basic, practical way that gave inspiration and hope to the Saints struggling to build a home in the wilderness. Though more than a century has now passed, his words are still fresh and appropriate for us today as we continue the work of building the kingdom of God. President Young declared that as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we possess the “doctrine of life and salvation for all the honest-in-heart” (DBY, 7). He promised that those who receive the gospel in their hearts will have awakened “within them a desire to know and understand the things of God more than they ever did before in their lives” and will begin to “inquire, read and search and when they go to their Father in the name of Jesus he will not leave them without a witness” (DBY, 450). This book reflects the desire of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles to deepen the doctrinal understanding of Church members and to awaken within them a greater desire to know the things of God. It will inspire and motivate individuals, priesthood quorums, and Relief Society classes to inquire, read, search, and then go to their Father in Heaven for a witness of the truth of these teachings. Each chapter contains two sections—“Teachings of Brigham Young” and “Suggestions for Study.” The first section consists of extracts from Brigham Young’s sermons to the early Saints. Each statement has been referenced, and the original spelling and punctuation have been preserved; however, the sources cited will not be readily available to most members. These original sources are not necessary to have in order to effectively study or teach from this book. Members need not purchase additional references and commentaries to study or teach these chapters. The text provided in this book, accompanied by the scriptures, is sufficient for instruction. Members should prayerfully read and study President Young’s teachings in order to gain new insights into gospel principles and discover how those principles apply to their everyday lives. By faithfully and prayerfully studying these selections, Latter-day Saints will have a greater understanding of gospel principles and will more fully appreciate the profound and inspired teachings of this great prophet. The second section of each chapter offers a series of questions that will encourage thoughtful contemplation, personal application, and discussion of President Young’s teachings. Members should refer to and carefully reread his words on the principle being discussed. Deep and prayerful study of these teachings will inspire members to greater personal commitment and will help them resolve to follow the teachings of the Savior, Jesus Christ. If individuals and families prayerfully follow the principles in this book, they will be blessed and inspired to greater dedication and spirituality, as were the early Saints who heard these words directly from the lips of the “Lion of the Lord” (HC, 7:434)—the prophet, seer, and revelator, President Brigham Young.

Book excerpt: “In the coming days, a solid theological belief system may be our only hope for standing firm in our faith…” As we fast approach the end of days, we have seen an increase in demonic activity, psychological problems, and increasing pressure from the religious establishment to accept other belief systems in the name of tolerance. This ready resource will help the end time saint remain faithful to Jesus even in the face of intense persecution. Reverend Blair is convinced that God has given the Christian everything needed for life and godliness, and he supports this by offering practical application. So as you go along your way, return to this book again and again to drink from the fountain of knowledge concerning your salvation in Jesus Christ and godly counsel on how to Stand Firm in the last days.

Book excerpt: This book embodies timely innovations breaking free from the confines of traditional Christianity: 1) the creative collation of the synoptic gospels into an inclusive narrative revealing all of the facts in one read 2) a re-visitation of the Canon restricting epistolary content to true apostolic authority 3) a functionally literal translation which rectifies 600 years of erroneous habits 4) a translation sourced in the Majority Greek Text since the oldest and best attested text is one with sufficient time to produce the greatest number of descendants resembling itself 5) the embodiment of Primordial Consecution where the originally separated and shuffled manuscript sections are restored to their original sequential order, rectifying all contextual aberrations 6) this work presents an overall coherent end-time scenario resulting from a critical refutation of the authorship and content of the book of Revelation, greatly un-complicating eschatology. The reader of this work will experience a timely, refreshing enlightenment of the soul, a liberation from the bondage of erroneous thinking and false doctrines, and a deliverance from the engendered confusion and inner perplexity that have developed over much of what one encounters while reading the average New Testament.

Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.
