Book Synopsis Nonlinear Differential Equations by : Piero de Mottoni
Download or read book Nonlinear Differential Equations written by Piero de Mottoni and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2014-05-10 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nonlinear Differential Equations: Invariance, Stability, and Bifurcation presents the developments in the qualitative theory of nonlinear differential equations. This book discusses the exchange of mathematical ideas in stability and bifurcation theory. Organized into 26 chapters, this book begins with an overview of the initial value problem for a nonlinear wave equation. This text then focuses on the interplay between stability exchange for a stationary solution and the appearance of bifurcating periodic orbits. Other chapters consider the development of methods for ascertaining stability and boundedness and explore the development of bifurcation and stability analysis in nonlinear models of applied sciences. This book discusses as well nonlinear hyperbolic equations in further contributions, featuring stability properties of periodic and almost periodic solutions. The reader is also introduced to the stability problem of the equilibrium of a chemical network. The final chapter deals with suitable spaces for studying functional equations. This book is a valuable resource for mathematicians.
Book Synopsis Stability and Other Properties of Almost Periodic Solutions of Nonlinear Differential Equations by : C. T. Taam
Download or read book Stability and Other Properties of Almost Periodic Solutions of Nonlinear Differential Equations written by C. T. Taam and published by . This book was released on 1967 with total page 6 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In abstract setting, the following nonlinear differential equation dX/dt = AX + F(t, X, lambda) includes many important ordinary and partial differential equations in applications, where A is a dissipative bounded or unbounded operator in a suitable Banach or Hilbert space. For this reason, the basic program in this project was to study this equation about various problems of interest in applications. (Author).

Book Synopsis Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces by : Yoshiyuki Hino
Download or read book Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces written by Yoshiyuki Hino and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2001-10-25 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph presents recent developments in spectral conditions for the existence of periodic and almost periodic solutions of inhomogenous equations in Banach Spaces. Many of the results represent significant advances in this area. In particular, the authors systematically present a new approach based on the so-called evolution semigroups with an original decomposition technique. The book also extends classical techniques, such as fixed points and stability methods, to abstract functional differential equations with applications to partial functional differential equations. Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces will appeal to anyone working in mathematical analysis.
Book Synopsis Almost Periodic Oscillations and Waves by : Constantin Corduneanu
Download or read book Almost Periodic Oscillations and Waves written by Constantin Corduneanu and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-04-29 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text is well-designed with respect to the exposition from the preliminary to the more advanced and the applications interwoven throughout. It provides the essential foundations for the theory as well as the basic facts relating to almost periodicity. In six structured and self-contained chapters, the author unifies the treatment of various classes of almost periodic functions, while uniquely addressing oscillations and waves in the almost periodic case. This is the first text to present the latest results in almost periodic oscillations and waves. The presentation level and inclusion of several clearly presented proofs make this work ideal for graduate students in engineering and science. The concept of almost periodicity is widely applicable to continuuum mechanics, electromagnetic theory, plasma physics, dynamical systems, and astronomy, which makes the book a useful tool for mathematicians and physicists.

Book Synopsis Fixed points and topological degree in nonlinear analysis by : Jane Cronin
Download or read book Fixed points and topological degree in nonlinear analysis written by Jane Cronin and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1995-01-05 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The topological methods based on fixed-point theory and on local topological degree which have been developed by Leray, Schauder, Nirenberg, Cesari and others for the study of nonlinear differential equations are here described in detail, beginning with elementary considerations. The reader is not assumed to have any knowledge of topology beyond the theory of point sets in Euclidean n-space which ordinarily forms part of a course in advanced calculus. The methods are first developed for Euclidean n-space and applied to the study of existence and stability of periodic and almost-periodic solutions of systems of ordinary differential equations, both quasi-linear and with ``large'' nonlinearities. Then, after being extended to infinite-dimensional ``function-spaces'', these methods are applied to integral equations, partial differential equations and further problems concerning periodic solutions of ordinary differential equations.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this thesis, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a classical piecewise continuous almost periodic solution for nonlinear impulsive differential equations described by analytic semigroups on a banach space. Fractional powers of closed operators and banach fixed point theorem are used to overcome the existence problem. Moreover, we investigate asymptotic stability of the system.
