It shows you how to make internal changes that will impact your outside world. For my money, this is the best book out there for entrepreneurs and salespeople." --Dr. Joe Vitale, author of The Attractor Factor and Zero Limits "Nunziata has discovered the secret to success and abundance: that it comes from within and is created by your thoughts and feelings. His techniques are easy to follow and essential in helping you attain your true business potential. He knows that being successful is not about how many hours you work, but how you see yourself on your most basic level."?? ?? --Susan Kerr, spiritual counselor and author of The System for Soul Memory "Nunziata is the real deal when it comes to creating more sales. He has gone deep in his own life to learn his invisible blocks and is the master at teaching others how to do the same. He has an effective process to help salespeople and entrepreneurs move those blocks with ease-like they're children's block toys! As the creator of the Selling-Without-Selling program, I share his philosophy and know you will learn so much about yourself and what blocks your way. If you're serious about selling from your heart and soul and feeling really great about yourself and about selling, this book is a must!" --Dr. Terri Levine, Master Certified Coach and author of The Successful Coach, Work Yourself Happy, and Stop Managing, Start Coaching "If you're?tired of the push and pull that comes with traditional methods of selling, Spiritual Selling is a must-have. The principles Nunziata teaches are based on attraction rather than force. His approach is not some pie-in-the-sky theory. Rather, he skillfully shows how you can begin attracting business to you rather than chasing after it-more business than you dreamed possible. Book Synopsis The Silent Takeover by : Noreena Hertz
Download or read book The Silent Takeover written by Noreena Hertz and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2002-06-28 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Named one of the best books of the year by The Sunday Times of London, and already a bestseller in England, Noreena Hertz's The Silent Takeover explains how corporations in the age of globalization are changing our lives, our society, and our future -- and are threatening the very basis of our democracy. Of the world's 100 largest economies, fifty-one are now corporations, only forty-nine are nation-states. The sales of General Motors and Ford are greater than the GDP (gross domestic product) of the whole of sub-Saharan Africa, and Wal-Mart now has a turnover higher than the revenues of most of the states of Eastern Europe. Yet few of us are fully aware of the growing dominance of big business: newspapers continue to place news of the actions of governments on the front page, with business news relegated to the inside pages. But do governments really have more influence over our lives than businesses? Do the parties for which we vote have any real freedom of choice in their actions? Already sparking intense debate in England and on the Continent, The Silent Takeover provides a new and startling take on the way we live now and who really governs us. The widely acclaimed young socio-economist Noreena Hertz brilliantly and passionately reveals how corporations across the world manipulate and pressure governments by means both legal and illegal; how protest, be it in the form of the protesters of Seattle and Genoa or the boycotting of genetically altered foods, is often becoming a more effective political weapon than the ballot-box; and how corporations in many parts of the world are taking over from the state responsibility for everything from providing technology for schools to healthcare for the community. While the activities of business, frequently under pressure from the media and the consuming public, can range from the beneficial to the pernicious, neither public protest nor corporate power is in any way democratic. What is the fate of democracy in the world of the silent takeover? The Silent Takeover asks us to recognize the growing contradictions of a world divided between haves and have-nots, of gated communities next to ghettos, of extreme poverty and unbelievable riches. In the face of these unacceptable extremes, Noreena Hertz outlines a new agenda to revitalize politics and renew democracy.

Download or read book Selling Yoga written by Andrea R. Jain and published by Oxford University Press, USA. This book was released on 2015 with total page 265 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Premodern and early modern yoga comprise techniques with a wide range of aims, from turning inward in quest of the true self, to turning outward for divine union, to channeling bodily energy in pursuit of sexual pleasure. Early modern yoga also encompassed countercultural beliefs and practices. In contrast, today, modern yoga aims at the enhancement of the mind-body complex but does so according to contemporary dominant metaphysical, health, and fitness paradigms. Consequently, yoga is now a part of popular culture. In Selling Yoga, Andrea R. Jain explores the popularization of yoga in the context of late-twentieth-century consumer culture. She departs from conventional approaches by undermining essentialist definitions of yoga as well as assumptions that yoga underwent a linear trajectory of increasing popularization. While some studies trivialize popularized yoga systems by reducing them to the mere commodification or corruption of what is perceived as an otherwise fixed, authentic system, Jain suggests that this dichotomy oversimplifies the history of yoga as well as its meanings for contemporary practitioners. By discussing a wide array of modern yoga types, from Iyengar Yoga to Bikram Yoga, Jain argues that popularized yoga cannot be dismissed--that it has a variety of religious meanings and functions. Yoga brands destabilize the basic utility of yoga commodities and assign to them new meanings that represent the fulfillment of self-developmental needs often deemed sacred in contemporary consumer culture.
