Download or read book Friends Forever written by Bill Boylan and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2011-10 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the very first page of this book you will readily discover this is not a deep theological book about the study of the Holy Spirit known as pneumatology. It's simply a book attempting to describe what my very best friend, the Holy Spirit, is like. I've tried to make it as non-theological as possible and as personal as possible. We will spend the remaining ages of time and, later, eternity, with the Holy Spirit fully resident within us. Since He's going to be that "close" to us for all time and eternity, we need to get to know Him as well as possible during our mortal journeys here during this life. After all, we're going to be "Friends Forever"!

Book Synopsis Henry More (1614–1687) Tercentenary Studies by : S. Hutton
Download or read book Henry More (1614–1687) Tercentenary Studies written by S. Hutton and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of all the Cambridge Platonists, Henry More has attracted the most scholar ly interest in recent years, as the nature and significance of his contribution to the history of thought has come to be better understood. This revival of interest is in marked contrast to the neglect of More's writings lamented even by his first biographer, Richard Ward, a regret echoed two centuries after his 1 death. Since then such attention as there has been to More has not always served him well. He has been dismissed as credulous on account of his belief in witchcraft while his reputation as the most mystical of the Cambridge 2 school has undermined his reputation as a philosopher. Much of the interest in More in the present century has tended to focus on one particular aspect of his writing. There has been considerable interest in his poems. And he has come to the attention of philosophers thanks to his having corresponded with Descartes. Latterly, however, interest in More has been rekindled by renewed interest in the intellectual history of the seventeenth century and Renaissance. And More has been studied in the context of seventeenth-cen tury science and the wider context of seventeenth-century philosophy. Since More is a figure who belongs to the Renaissance tradition of unified sapientia he is not easily compartmentalised in the categories of modern disciplines. Inevitably discussion of anyone aspect of his thought involves other aspects.
Download or read book Soulism written by D. M'Chelle and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2007-04 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You need to know what success and being successful means to you. Know your career goals. Where do you see yourself in five years, in ten years? I have seen many frustrated managers unable to accomplish their goals because they did not understand how to get what they wanted, what it took to get there, or even where to start. Some of these same managers were their own worst enemy. My purpose in writing this book is to cover some of the attitudes and behaviors you will need in order to help you be the success you want to be. These are all things I have learned over the years from my own struggles as well as from observing other successful, and unsuccessful, people. The topics covered in this book are meant to serve as an overview of the key things you will need to be aware of rather than a cookbook to go by. If you find something in these pages that is useful to you, something that you were unaware of, something that you need to improve on, or something that you need to start or stop doing, then I have succeeded in my purpose.
