Download or read book Determination of Dissolved Oxygen in Water by Flow Injection Analysis written by Ivan Sekerka and published by . This book was released on 1990 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A continuous flow method for the determination of dissolved oxygen in fresh water samples is described. The method is suitable for the analysis of large number of samples as well as for continuous monitoring. It utilizes Flow-Injection principle with in-line Winkler chemistry and spectrophotometric detection. Up to 120 samples/hour can be analysed with relative standard deviation of ca 2% and the detection limit of 0.1 ppm. The turbidity and colour of the samples do not interfere with the measurement. The operation of the system including calibration, calculation and statistical evaluation as well as data storage in main frame computer is governed by a PC work station"--Abstract.

Download or read book A Method for the Determination of Dissolved Oxygen in Water written by E. L. Shirley and published by . This book was released on 1954 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The analysis for dissolved oxygen in water from small volume systems has required some modification of the standard method. These changes consist mainly of an alteration in the method of obtaining a sample and a more sensitive means for determining the released iodine.

Book Synopsis UV-visible Spectrophotometry of Water and Wastewater by : Olivier Thomas
Download or read book UV-visible Spectrophotometry of Water and Wastewater written by Olivier Thomas and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2007-04-13 with total page 373 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: UV-Visible Spectrophotometry of Water and Wastewater is the first book dedicated to the use of UV spectrophotometry for water and wastewater quality monitoring. Using practical examples the reader is shown how this technique can be a source of new methods of characterization and measurement. Easy and fast to run, this simple and robust analytical technique must be considered as one of the best ways to obtain a quantitative estimation of specific or aggregate parameters (eg. Nitrate, TOC), and simultaneously qualitative information on the global composition of water and its variation. * First electronic library of UV-spectra providing data readily available for researchers and users * Provides a theoretical basis for further research in the field of spectra exploitation * Contains helpful practical applications

Download or read book Environmental Pollutants—Selected Analytical Methods written by Sam Stuart and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Environmental Pollutants - Selected Analytical Methods (SCOPE6) presents a number of carefully chosen analytical methods for use in the determination of trace amounts of certain substances in the environment. This compilation is prepared by the Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE), an international council of scientists who provide advice with respect to environmental problems. The book contains a wide variety of methods in the determination of chemical elements and compounds in various segments of the environment, in air, water, soil and biota. The methods described in the compendium include Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry in the determination of airborne particulate lead, cadmium, cobalt, and vanadium. The use of the Ring Oven Technique in the determination of airborne particulate zinc, nickel, and copper is discussed. The determination of mercury in the air, water, and biological media is also elucidated. The book will be of great use to chemists, ecologists, biologists, and researchers concerned with environmental pollution monitoring.
Book Synopsis Analysis of Dissolved Oxygen in Natural and Waste Waters by : Khalil Hasny Mancy
Download or read book Analysis of Dissolved Oxygen in Natural and Waste Waters written by Khalil Hasny Mancy and published by . This book was released on 1966 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A comprehensive discussion of the various methods of analysis for dissolved oxygen in natural and waste waters is presented. Special emphasis is given to pointing out the applicability and limitations of each method. Several titrimetric methods and micro techniques are described. Manometric, gas-exchange, gas chromatographic, radiometric, and polarographic techniques and galvanic and membrane electrodes are among the instrumental methods discussed. In situ measurements of the activity of molecular oxygen are claimed to be more significant than concentration measurements. Examples of laboratory and field studies are given."--P.vii.
