Book Synopsis The Primordial Violence by : Murray A. Straus
Download or read book The Primordial Violence written by Murray A. Straus and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-09-11 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title 2014! Why do parents hit those they love? What effect does it have on children? What can be done to end this pattern? These are some of the questions explored in The Primordial Violence. Featuring longitudinal data from over 7,000 U.S. families as well as results from a 32 nation study, the book presents the latest research on the extent to which spanking is used in different cultures and the subsequent effects of its use on children and on society. Evidence that shows the relationship between spanking and the subsequent slowing of cognitive development and increase in antisocial and criminal behavior is shown. Both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies are explored in an accessible fashion. An abundance of high quality research has produced findings that are highly consistent from study to study which show that spanking is a risk factor for aggressive behavior and other social and psychological problems. Because of these findings, the authors argue for policy changes and recommend a drastic reduction in the use of spanking. Policy and practical implications are explored in most chapters. The Primordial Violence highlights: The benefits of avoiding spanking such as the development of better interpersonal skills and higher academic achievement; The link between spanking and behavioral problems and crime; The extent to which spanking is declining and why despite the unusually high level of agreement between numerous studies which found harmful effects from spanking, most parents continue to spank. Part 1 documents the worldwide use of spanking and why parents spank. The possible adverse effects of spanking on children’s behavior and academic achievement, and the potential for violence and criminal behavior in later life, are explored in Parts 2, 3, and 4. Part 5 examines trends in spanking, and suggests what can be done to lower the percent of parents who spank. Contradictory opinions about whether to spank are explored. The book concludes with a call for change in this aspect of parenting which will have profound benefits, for the children and families involved, and society as a whole. Intended for a general audience of readers who are interested in child development and parenting and for advanced undergraduate and/or graduate courses in child abuse, family violence, juvenile delinquency, criminal behavior, social development, sociology of the family, or parenting and family relations taught in psychology, human development, family studies, criminology, education, social work, sociology, and social policy.

Book excerpt: There's something uniquely exciting about a difference in age. An older woman - worldly, experienced, sensual and commanding, a woman who knows what she wants and knows how to get it; and one much younger - inquisitive, uncertain, seeking something she can't yet define, knowing only that she must. Such a forbidden tryst fires the imagination with naughty thoughts, delighting the senses with the blisteringly hot details of their sinful lust and the sweet pleasure of the journey they take together. This three story collection explores these relationships with a trio of sensual tales about older women and the girls who submit to them. Her Mistress, the Older Woman: Lucy needed a direction, but she had no idea where to find one. A young woman in the first blossoming of her sexuality, Lucy found herself helping out a middle-aged writer from down the street, an older spinster with a clouded past. Just some simple yard work, cleaning around the house or bringing some groceries. At least that's how it started. The Older Woman and Her Lesbian Fantasy: Gina Fox is a fading soap star from a bygone era of daytime TV. An older woman with a reputation as an insatiable man-eater, Gina's career is in terminal decline and almost nothing can stop it. Until, that is, Gina finds herself involved in a scandalous storyline of sapphic desire and forbidden lust. Cast alongside the much younger Madeline Strong, Gina's first on-screen lesbian affair thrills her in ways that she never thought possible. The Older Woman and the Naughty Maid: Natasha's life was a trainwreck of depravity. Born on the wrong side of the tracks, she'd taken one bad turn after another and found herself in a dead-end existence of sleazy bars and desperate low lives. Then she met Elizabeth Gilcrest. An older woman, bathed in privilege and confidence, Miss Gilcrest plucked Natasha from the gutter she was in, offering her a chance at a new life, a job as her personal maid. But even the kindest offer is never quite what it seems.

Book Synopsis Spanking the Donkey by : Matt Taibbi
Download or read book Spanking the Donkey written by Matt Taibbi and published by The New Press. This book was released on 2018-10-16 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An up-close look at the democratic race for the White House—it isn't pretty Spanking the Donkey is a campaign diary like no other. Celebrated reporter Matt Taibbi turns a withering eye on the kissing contest of puffed-up martinets and egomaniacal fantasists more generally known as the 2004 Democratic primaries. Taibbi's contempt for the whole charade, and for most of those involved (including a generous helping of his fellow journalists), makes for a searing and highly entertaining account. His refusal to take the proceedings seriously leads him to volunteer for Wesley Clark's New Hampshire campaign in the guise of an adult-film director, while his take on a John Edwards press conference in New York City is filtered through the haze of hallucinogenic drugs. Taking up residence in slums and halfway houses as he follows the circus around the country, Taibbi juxtaposes an idiotic dog-and-pony show in which clashes of plainly identical candidates are presented as real controversies, with the quite separate concerns of the ordinary Americans whose lodgings he shares. The gap between the antiseptic exercise in faint patriotic optimism that is mainstream politics and the harsh realities of life for the millions of Americans that the electoral parade simply passes by has never been more sharply, or hilariously, sketched.
Book Synopsis Managing Mrs. Burton by : Laurel Aspen
Download or read book Managing Mrs. Burton written by Laurel Aspen and published by Chimera Publishing (GB). This book was released on 2001 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every stroke produced a frantic, immodest weaving of hips and drumming of toes, but Mrs Burton somehow managed to maintain her stance, keeping some shred of decorum as her curvaceous bottom was soundly whipped. "Well done", he said, "you took that caning very well, now stay exactly where you are and I'll reward you for your fortitude". "Thank you". Mrs Burton replied huskily, "that would be lovely". In town and in the country, in offices and suburban semis, women have been getting their first spankings. Reluctantly, hesitatingly, sometimes forcibly; some even discovering a taste for further punishment. Perhaps that's why the woman sat next to you on the train is smiling?

Book excerpt: The 1950s Spanking Chronicles: True Spanking Stories from the Fifties, Volume 1 gathers personal experiences from 40 writers about the pain and pleasure of spanking and being spanked. All from the Fifties, the "Golden Age of Spanking." Some spankings are enjoyable and tingly erotic, often followed by sex. Others are "ordeals of fearful anticipation, humiliation and pain." Spankers and spanked vividly describe an amazing variety of spankings- and their most intimate thoughts, emotions and physical and sexual feelings. In the nineteen-fifties, spanking was widely accepted, and practiced everywhere. All kinds of spankings, in every setting, fill this book. Spanking in homes, schools, sororities, reform schools, police stations, even the workplace. Husbands spank wives and vice-versa. Boyfriends spank girlfriends. Girlfriends spank girlfriends. Parents spank teens, principals spank students, sorority sisters spank pledges, reformatory officials spank inmates, senior cheerleaders spank new girls. There's bosses spanking secretaries, birthday girls and boys getting spanked by their friends, and much more. Stories include every spanking position, method and ritual. Every level of nudity- underwear, panties, lingerie, pyjamas or (mostly) nothing at all. Every level of severity. Every spanking implement- hairbrush, strap, belt, paddle, switch, cane and many others. Plus, naturally, firm hands applied to hot, reddening, bouncing bare buttocks. There's even advice about getting and giving your first spanking, introducing a partner to spanking play and discipline, and spanking safety and etiquette. Plus surprising news stories. Plus famous advice columnist Ann Landers offering wisdom in "A Ping-pong paddle keeps wife in line." Sample stories: "Embarrassing Punishment Does Wonders for Daughters;" "Spanked by her Professor;" "Aunt's Hairbrush 'Gets Her Excited';" "Canings, Birchings, Strappings at Girls' Reformatory;" "Big Surprise at Group Birthday Spanking;" "Spanked by Friend's Wife;" "The Spanking Photo that Changed their Lives;" "The Office Spanking- Humiliation, Pain and Excitement;" "Firm Older Woman Lays Down the Law;" "Whacking His Girlfriend Turns Her On;" "Spanked as Sorority Pledge;" and the memorable "Thrown Over a Log, Switched and Taken Doggie-style." Caution: stories include dominance/submission, sexual embarrassment and humiliation, spanking pain, bondage, exhibitionism and voyeurism, other punishments, and every sexual feeling and act. Critics call The 1950s Spanking Chronicles "amazing... sexually charged... full of surprises... an astonishing collection about spanking, sexuality and the Fifties." ABOUT THE AUTHORS Editor Sasha Cave has written and edited books, articles and stories on spanking and other erotic topics, including True Spanking Stories, Volumes I through VI. Book Synopsis Wives of Child Molesters Within the Family by : Robert R. Hazelwood
Download or read book Wives of Child Molesters Within the Family written by Robert R. Hazelwood and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-03-31 with total page 85 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This pioneering volume brings a rarely-studied population--wives and girlfriends of men who molest children--into the clear focus necessary to understand the dynamics of these disturbed families. Details of the study spotlight interview methodology, format, structure, and safety as the subjects provide crucial data--about their partners as well as themselves--typically overlooked by law enforcement and other professionals. Findings clarify or replace popularly held ideas about the psychology of partners of child molesters, and of the abusers themselves, in key areas such as childhood experience of sexual abuse and the construction of elaborate fictions to cover the abuse. In addition, a comparative analysis of findings by American and Dutch researchers provides early possibilities for cross-cultural research. Included in the coverage: The interviewees: developmental and abuse history, relationship with the molester. The molesters: abuse, arrest, and mental health histories. Practical suggestions for conducting interviews. Opportunities for intervention in primary care. Common behaviors of molesters. The involvement of pornography. Child molestation cases are among the most difficult in terms of obtaining information. Taking original steps toward capturing the whole story, Wives of Child Molesters within the Family is as significant to law enforcement personnel as it is to mental health professionals dealing with molesters and pedophiles.
Book Synopsis The Caregiver's Guide to Strict and Loving Discipline by : Clarine Klein
Download or read book The Caregiver's Guide to Strict and Loving Discipline written by Clarine Klein and published by . This book was released on 2022-02-16 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In spite of leaps and bounds in both society and technology, there are still some truths that remain universal. The sky is blue, ice cream is delicious, and nothing adjusts a bratty attitude quite like a sound spanking. While the latter is an immutable fact, sadly not all Caregivers are prepared to provide their Little or Middle with the sort of no-nonsense discipline they need in order to truly thrive. Fortunately, Clarine Klein - renowned Professor of Spankology - has condensed two decades worth of meticulous research in the Disciplinary Arts into an easy (and fun!) to read manual guaranteed to provide you with everything you need to give a spanking by the book! Topics covered in this spanktastic guide include: How to give an effective scolding. A deep dive into Supplementary Punishments such as early bedtimes, mouth-soaping, and diapers / pull-ups. A detailed overview of the five types of spankings, including Attitude Adjustments, Spankings for Encouragement, and Maintenance Spankings. A comprehensive guide of recommended Spanking Positions and Implements as well as how best to use them. A step-by-step walk-through of every facet of giving your Little or Middle the sort of spanking that is guaranteed to produce long-lasting results. And so much more! == Please Note == that this book is intended for adults engaging in CONSENTING ageplay, spanking, and other related kinks only! NO CHILD SHOULD EVER BE HIT FOR DISCIPLINE I don't care if you grew up as a wooden spoon survivor, or were like me and just had a bone-deep interest in spanking since before you can remember. Unlike the tantalizing nonsense in this book, actual scientists have proven time and time again that corporal punishment does not work to improve behavior and is both harmful and abusive to those who receive it. To that end, allow me to clarify that this book is meant to be a parody of those god awful raising your kids the "right" way through old-fashioned Christian fundamentalism and spanking books (Looking at you Dare to Discipline, God, the Rod, and your Child's Bod, and all the dreck written by the Pearls), and as such it is not to be taken as any sort of endorsement of those sorts of parenting styles. Because, yeah. They're gross.
