Book Synopsis Spanish Verbs, Simplified by : Luis Toral Moreno
Download or read book Spanish Verbs, Simplified written by Luis Toral Moreno and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2018-08-18 with total page 55 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The two parts composing the present work, i.e., the two points that I wish to develop are: 1) The composition and use of ONE SINGLE TABLE that can serve for the conjugation of all the Spanish verbs, both regular and irregular. With this TABLE a much easier, simpler way of learning how to conjugate any Spanish verb is attained. 2) The separate study of each class of irregularity, grouping the irregularities by tenses and in a minimum of classes. By this method a more logic, much easier and simpler way of learning all the irregular Spanish verbs is attained.
Book Synopsis Mastering Spanish Irregular Verbs by : Juan M. Gonzalez Nieto
Download or read book Mastering Spanish Irregular Verbs written by Juan M. Gonzalez Nieto and published by . This book was released on 2009-02 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learning verb conjugations and dealing with irregular verbs in the Spanish language is a serious challenge for many English speakers. Dr. Juan M. González, an assistant professor of Spanish at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, and Dr. Dan Bishop have developed a unique visual framework within which students can more easily learn Spanish verb irregularities. González and Bishop present most verb irregularities as two easily manageable groups of ten simple spelling rules and ten common vowel variations. Conjugation diagrams and charts throughout the text enhance the learning process. Verb lists specify all commonly encountered verbs that exhibit vowel variations. Special attention is also placed on the nineteen truly irregular verbs that depart significantly from these rules. Mastering Spanish Irregular Verbs is an excellent reference volume for Spanish teachers and students alike. The verb classification scheme, visual presentations, and comprehensive verb lists significantly help the reader along the road to Spanish fluency. Stunningly original and wonderfully realized, this book charts a clear path through the jungle of Spanish irregular verbs. González and Bishop have pioneered an approach that transforms what many students find an impossible task into an intellectual pleasure. As I looked over the charts which provide the center of their approach, I found myself wondering why no one thought of this before. Craig Werner, PhD, Chair, Integrated Liberal Studies Program, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Book Synopsis A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish by : John Butt
Download or read book A New Reference Grammar of Modern Spanish written by John Butt and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 533 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: (abridged and revised) This reference grammar offers intermediate and advanced students a reason ably comprehensive guide to the morphology and syntax of educated speech and plain prose in Spain and Latin America at the end of the twentieth century. Spanish is the main, usually the sole official language of twenty-one countries,} and it is set fair to overtake English by the year 2000 in numbers 2 of native speakers. This vast geographical and political diversity ensures that Spanish is a good deal less unified than French, German or even English, the latter more or less internationally standardized according to either American or British norms. Until the 1960s, the criteria of internationally correct Spanish were dictated by the Real Academia Espanola, but the prestige of this institution has now sunk so low that its most solemn decrees are hardly taken seriously - witness the fate of the spelling reforms listed in the Nuevas normas de prosodia y ortograjia, which were supposed to come into force in all Spanish-speaking countries in 1959 and, nearly forty years later, are still selectively ignored by publishers and literate persons everywhere. The fact is that in Spanish 'correctness' is nowadays decided, as it is in all living languages, by the consensus of native speakers; but consensus about linguistic usage is obviously difficult to achieve between more than twenty independent, widely scattered and sometimes mutually hostile countries. Peninsular Spanish is itself in flux.

Download or read book Fluent Forever written by Gabriel Wyner and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2014-08-05 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER • For anyone who wants to learn a foreign language, this is the method that will finally make the words stick. “A brilliant and thoroughly modern guide to learning new languages.”—Gary Marcus, cognitive psychologist and author of the New York Times bestseller Guitar Zero At thirty years old, Gabriel Wyner speaks six languages fluently. He didn’t learn them in school—who does? Rather, he learned them in the past few years, working on his own and practicing on the subway, using simple techniques and free online resources—and here he wants to show others what he’s discovered. Starting with pronunciation, you’ll learn how to rewire your ears and turn foreign sounds into familiar sounds. You’ll retrain your tongue to produce those sounds accurately, using tricks from opera singers and actors. Next, you’ll begin to tackle words, and connect sounds and spellings to imagery rather than translations, which will enable you to think in a foreign language. And with the help of sophisticated spaced-repetition techniques, you’ll be able to memorize hundreds of words a month in minutes every day. This is brain hacking at its most exciting, taking what we know about neuroscience and linguistics and using it to create the most efficient and enjoyable way to learn a foreign language in the spare minutes of your day.
