Book excerpt: The 'Song of God' is a new book of scripture for a new and modern age. This revelation was brought forth by Azrael Ondi-Ahman (a.k.a., Archie Dean Wood, Sr.) who, in 1979, began receiving visitations by highly evolved, glorified human beings who identified themselves as God. After seven years of instruction, Azrael was commissioned to begin writing what would become the foundation for a new dispensation, and the restoration of gnosis for all humanity. The 'Song of God' begins with the premise that the only proper religion for mankind is humanity itself, for it is from this humanity that God first evolved -God who is our future, came from humans who are Their past. Extraordinary in depth and scope, the 'Song of God' is both radical and affirming. This modern revelation is an anthem of knowledge, myth and mystery that will sing to the heart and uplift the mind. The 'Song of God' is a grand unification of wisdom and truth, confirming with sound clarity the beauty, value and potential of humankind. This book presents a new standard, a new choice that both challenges and empowers us to let go of hurtful dogmas and move forward into an age of greater peace and understanding.

Book excerpt: This volume contains the papers read at the Leiden Conference on Canonization and Decanonization of 9-10 January 1997. The emphasis in this rich and wide-ranging contribution to the subject is on the processes of canonization and decanonization in several religions and on the phenomenon of religious canons as well. It has two sections: (De)canonization and the History of Religions, and (De)canonization and Modern Society. In the first section processes out of which canons eventually emerge are highlighted in contributions devoted to particular religions, viz. African religions, Judaism and Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Zoroastrianism. The articles of the second section are of particular relevance to the contemporary situation in the western world, dealing with aspects such as forms of the survival of a canon in processes of modernization, canonization and the challenge of plurality, and canonization and hermeneutics. The reader may benefit even more from this volume as it contains also An Annotated Bibliography on the subject.

It describes a Christian, from one who has been chosen, to one who follows God, who truly knows God, who has experienced all circumstances, who is united with God, and finally who will reach all the fullness and the perfection of God himself, as a bride of Christ. By reading this book, guided by the Spirit, the children of God are invited to come to meet God and understand the heart of God, so that they may rebuild and restore a beautiful and intimate, one-on-one relationship with God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of First Kings 4:32 says that Solomon wrote 1005 songs. A song is poetry like the Psalms that were sung to bring forth a message from God. God deemed this song important enough to keep it in His manual, the Bible. The Books of First and Second Samuel are the historical books of David, but His love and emotions for God were written in his Psalms. Likewise, the Book of Revelation is a historical book of the bride of Christ, but the Song of Solomon is the love and emotions of Christ and His bride. This book is being published at the same time as Revelation to be companion books with the same overview. God desired a people who would be adopted into His kingdom. Christ would redeem every person who would acknowledge the plan of God to become children of the Most High God. The Bible was inspired by God (2 Tim 3:16). The Book of Song of Solomon shows the love of the Lord Jesus to His bride, the Church, who is called Shulamite. Shulamite in Hebrew is the feminine noun for Solomon. Solomon in Hebrew is shalom meaning peace unto wholeness. This wholeness comes from a relationship with the Lord which is offered to everyone, male or female, Jewish or Gentile (non-Jewish). Do not think of Solomon in this book as the king, for he too is a believer in the Lord, so therefore He too can be the Shulamite. This is not a picture of Solomons love for a woman, but instead the story of how Solomon came to love the Lord and grow spiritually throughout His life. Both Books (Revelation and Song of Solomon) are actually a symbolic picture of the Ancient Jewish Wedding. The bride is the Church, and therefore, seen as female, yet we know that God is identified as being present in both male and female. Therefore, Solomon is writing as a believer growing in his walk with the Lord. Song of Solomon, like all books in the Old Testament, point to Jesus. It cant be about Solomon and his love for a woman; IT HAS TO BE ABOUT JESUS. Therefore, it shows how a believer grows in their relationship with Jesus. The Jewish wedding takes us from the first time we see Jesus in the spirit and are engaged (salvation) to the time we see Jesus face to face in marriage (our resurrection) to the time we return with Christ to rule and reign as His wife (Millennium) to the time we live in the new heaven and earth (eternity). The intention of this book is to experience in the spirit the life of the believer growing in our knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Book excerpt: A powerful, raw yet eloquent memoir from a residential school survivor and former First Nations Chief, Up Ghost River is a necessary step toward our collective healing. In the 1950s, 7-year-old Edmund Metatawabin was separated from his family and placed in one of Canada’s worst residential schools. St. Anne’s, in northern Ontario, is an institution now notorious for the range of punishments that staff and teachers inflicted on students. Even as Metatawabin built the trappings of a successful life—wife, kids, career—he was tormented by horrific memories. Fuelled by alcohol, the trauma from his past caught up with him, and his family and work lives imploded. In seeking healing, Metatawabin travelled to southern Alberta. There he learned from elders, participated in native cultural training workshops that emphasize the holistic approach to personhood at the heart of Cree culture, and finally faced his alcoholism and PTSD. Metatawabin has since worked tirelessly to expose the wrongdoings of St. Anne’s, culminating in a recent court case demanding that the school records be released to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Now Metatawabin’s mission is to help the next generation of residential school survivors. His story is part of the indigenous resurgence that is happening across Canada and worldwide: after years of oppression, he and others are healing themselves by rediscovering their culture and sharing their knowledge. Coming full circle, Metatawabin’s haunting and brave narrative offers profound lessons on the importance of bearing witness, and the ability to become whole once again.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Readers will take a journey through the Song of Solomon (Song of Songs), which describes God's heart and His love. Written as a devotional, author Virginia Helweg uses the poetic metaphors from Solomon's song to teach how God created man and woman in His image and therefore have the capacity within to know Him intimately, parallel to the same love in a marriage. Helweg explains that the Song is about romantic love, but not as man perceives romance. It is an example of God's persistence to have a relationship with His creation, and a love poem Solomon framed as a song because of a faith in a God of love, singing, praising, and worshiping.
