He befriended with Professor, Dr Nisha, Lily, Ragho and many others but ditched them in time. He boasted himself as a great leader of many successful movements. When Professor requested him to lead farmers agitation he shook hands with the police. Ultimately he was exposed and put on trial. Dr Bhatia is a prolific fiction writer. His stories are full of wonderful wisdom, amusements and classic adventures with colourful imaginations. His style is lucid. He is a recipient of many awards.

Williams describes the mounting tensions between Strang's followers and the "gentile" residents who fled the island as Strang's influence grew; incidents connected with Strang's assassination by two former followers; and the ensuing exodus of most Strangites from Beaver Island.
