Be inspired as Chris shares how those insights take shape in the stories behind some of your favorite worship songs, including "How Great Is Our God," "We Fall Down," and "Good Good Father." Holy Roar is for: Readers of all ages interested in growing their faith Pastors, worship leaders, and small group teachers leading believers In the ancient world, something extraordinary happened when God's people gathered to worship Him. It was more than just singing; it was a declaration, a proclamation, a time to fully embody praise to God for who He is and what He has done. In fact, in the Psalms, seven Hebrew words are translated into the English word praise, each of which represents a different aspect of what it means to truly praise God.

Book excerpt: You have been called to be a worshipper first and foremost, and to live your life in the presence of God. Knowing God and expressing your love for Him is to be a daily part of your life, with Praise and Thanksgiving fl owing effortlessly from your heart. As a Royal Priest under the New Covenant you have a ministry; to continually minister to the Fathers heart. This is something King David learnt very early in his life; opening his heart and expressing his love became a lifestyle to him. In Lifestyle Worship you learn the same principles King David applied to his life; his worship was based on intimacy not ceremony, he lived his life to love God first and foremost and not only to serve Him. You will discover: - The various Hebrew expressions of Praise - The power of thanksgiving - A working definition of worship - A personal lifestyle of worship - How to touch the heart of God - Restore peace to your life as you minister to the Fathers heart - The person God created you to be. Lifestyle worship has been written in a workbook format, giving you time to ponder and reflect, as well as allow God the opportunity to speak into your life in a personal way. You will find a new sense of freedom in Christ where worship will no longer be confined to a Sunday service, but a daily rejoicing in Christ your Lord and Saviour. Among the wonderful, heady Theology, it became quickly evident that it was the calling on his life, to guide his students into a deep and familiar relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Orlando has my everlasting gratitude for the things he has taught me, for the revelations he has guided me through and for the realization of the freedom I now enjoy in worship. Kaye Kelly, student Brisbane Faith College International.
Book Synopsis From Ruins to Radiancy by : Kelly Ely
Download or read book From Ruins to Radiancy written by Kelly Ely and published by Archway Publishing. This book was released on 2022-03-18 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our hearts are speaking. Rather, they are calling out and aching for something this world cannot fill by its way of existence. Making our way through this thing called life, exhausted and heavy, we realize the stabbing sting hasn’t been soothed by the things of this world. And while we go on looking for ways to quiet the cry of our heart, the truth is, it’s eternity that is urgently summoning out in each and every one us. The longing we sense is more than real yet the reality is for something far greater than this world can give. In all our striving to do and be the best, the heart is searching to be at rest and reconciled back to a place called home. This home is not just any place we lay our head but must be encountered through spirit and by faith. This place is where a royal family resides and sets their affection on loving and trusting their God. By the fruit of their lips and labor of hands, they worship God. It’s where a weary soul finds rest because it’s doing exactly what it was made to do; worship.
Book Synopsis Psalm 96: A Theology of Praise by : C. Matthew McMahon
Download or read book Psalm 96: A Theology of Praise written by C. Matthew McMahon and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2014-02-04 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work is a simple theological look at the praise the church offers to God. God requires that his people have a theology of praise. Psalm 96 delivers to them the directives they need in order to praise God rightly. It is, in and of itself, a condensed theology of praise for the Church of Jesus Christ. God has called his people to praise him. Psalm 96 shows the church what should fill their theology of praise so that they praise God in holiness and truth. This is only possible through Jesus Christ and his work on the cross for them, as the one and only Messiah; the Messiah David was looking forward to and the Messiah the church looks back to who has already come. This Psalm is a call to all people to praise God correctly, and then demonstrates God’s government and judgment over the whole earth in response to those who praise him rightly, and those who do not. God, as the glorious Savior of his covenant people, has redeemed a people of praise; those whose theology of praise extends from the word of God into their mind, then to their regenerated heart, to their mouth and finally seen in their actions. Such a people will be a community of those who offer testimony and witness to the great acts and wonders of God’s being and grace to a fallen world; from being a witness to their children, to their next door neighbor, their cities and country, to all those across the world. While such work is going on, this covenant community will also be watchful as a community of believers knowing that Christ may choose to return and judge the world in righteousness at any time, where Christ will finally usher them into an eternity of praise; a place where creation and the church will praise Christ forever, the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world.
