Book Synopsis Simulação da distribuição espacial da água em solo irrigado com gotejador by : T. A. Botrel
Download or read book Simulação da distribuição espacial da água em solo irrigado com gotejador written by T. A. Botrel and published by . This book was released on 1988 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Hydraulic Conductivity by : Lakshmanan Elango
Download or read book Hydraulic Conductivity written by Lakshmanan Elango and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2011-11-23 with total page 450 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are several books on broad aspects of hydrogeology, groundwater hydrology and geohydrology, which do not discuss in detail on the intrigues of hydraulic conductivity elaborately. However, this book on Hydraulic Conductivity presents comprehensive reviews of new measurements and numerical techniques for estimating hydraulic conductivity. This is achieved by the chapters written by various experts in this field of research into a number of clustered themes covering different aspects of hydraulic conductivity. The sections in the book are: Hydraulic conductivity and its importance, Hydraulic conductivity and plant systems, Determination by mathematical and laboratory methods, Determination by field techniques and Modelling and hydraulic conductivity. Each of these sections of the book includes chapters highlighting the salient aspects and most of these chapters explain the facts with the help of some case studies. Thus this book has a good mix of chapters dealing with various and vital aspects of hydraulic conductivity from various authors of different countries.

Book Synopsis Sugarcane Crop Management by : S. B. Singh
Download or read book Sugarcane Crop Management written by S. B. Singh and published by SciTech Publishing. This book was released on 2002-01-01 with total page 734 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sugarcane is an important cash crop in many tropical and sub tropical countries and is one of the main sources of sugar production in the world. In addition to several other factors, sugarcane pests and diseases are also responsible for significant losses in yield. Sugarcane crop management, like most of the other disciplines, has advanced tremendously, both quantitatively and qualitatively particular in the last decade. In recent years, advanced biotechnological and molecular biological tools have been applied for identification and management of sugarcane pests. In addition to this, the newly reported alarming pests and diseases of sugarcane are also assuming international interest on account of their etiology, losses and wider occurrence.

Download or read book Hunting the Essex written by Midshipman Allen Gardiner and published by Seaforth Publishing. This book was released on 2013-06-30 with total page 169 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In February 1813 the British frigate Phoebe set out on a secret mission that would involve sailing halfway around the world to attack American settlements in the Pacific Northwest. The United States, frustrated at the treatment of its shipping by the combatants in the Napoleonic Wars, had finally opened hostilities against the British in the previous June. From the American perspective the War of 1812 began with disasters in its invasion of Canada, but against all expectations the infant US Navy had scored significant victories at sea. The most strategically significant of these was the campaign by the frigate USS Essex, which had almost annihilated the lucrative British whaling trade in the south Pacific. Therefore, Phoebe was diverted to hunt down and destroy this highly successful commerce-raider. After an epic search, Phoebe tracked her prey to neutral Valparaiso where the American frigate was blockaded and,in a very bloody battle, eventually captured. The American captain, David Porter, published a self-serving account of his actions which ever since has mired the battle in controversy, so this British naval eyewitness account is an important counter-balance. It is one of the lesser-known campaigns of a war which is currently celebrating its bicentenary, but its inherent drama inspired the plot of Patrick O'Brian's novel The Far Side of the World, although in its movie adaptation Master & Commander the American frigate is transformed into a French privateer.
