Through longitudinal comparative analysis, this study examines the labour-market integration of refugees in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, searching for explanations of cross-national differences by combining statistical analyses with in-depth analyses of national policies and governance structures.

Om lag 60 prosent av mennene og 40 prosent av kvinnene deltar i arbeidslivet etter ti år, men kun 35-40 prosent av mennene og 15-20 prosent av kvinnene oppnår lønnsnivå rett under medianinntekt etter ti år. Norge og Sverige er tilnærmet like når det gjelder andelen flyktninger som deltar i arbeidslivet, mens Danmark har en betydelig lavere deltagelse. I Danmark er det et større fokus på arbeidsmarkedstiltak og spesielt ubetalt jobbtrening. I Norge har fokuset på ordinær utdanning økt de siste åra, særlig på barne- og ungdomsskolenivå, mens Sverige har en betydelig større andel innrullert i utdanning på minimum videregående nivå.
