Book excerpt: Based upon true events, She Wouldn't Go! The Haunting is the story of Janie and her struggles with one unforgettable spirit. When Janie was young, she was taught how to read the Tarot Cards by her Grandma Vicky, who possessed special knowledge of the spirit world. Her grandmother tells her that she is teaching Janie about the cards because she is special; only later will Janie understand how important this is for her. Janie is aware there is something different about her because she has begun to have premonitions and bad dreams of things to come. When Janie grows up, she meets and falls in love with Bobby; they marry. As most young couples do, they buy their very first home. As they move in, it's an exciting time for them; soon, they learn that they will be adding a child to their family. They are overjoyed with this news and know that theirs will be a happy home. But once their son, Edward, is born, strange things begin to happen in their home. They soon discover there is a very persistent spirit in their home-the spirit of a young girl who wants to take the place of their son because she is enthralled by Edward's mother's love for him. She wants that love-but what might it cost Janie and her family?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: They Said I Wouldn't Make It. This is a book that needs to be read by all. It is full of everyday life situation. A book about one man's dreams and strggles to get custody of his ten siblings and reunite his family together again. This book is a pure inspiration to millions. I was always challenged by people that said that they were normal, telling me that I wouldn't make it in life because of how I was born. Not only is this book written from my heart, but it is also written through my pain and tears, triumphs and victories. It is my desire that kids that are born handicap would have the understanding that no on can make you handicap, if you chose not to be that handicap is a state of one's mind. It is my desire that the department of Social Services will remove the name 'foster' from kids. There is no such thing as a false child, all kids are real. For those that are single parents, I hope that you receive new strength. You can make it, don't give up. For the parents that have kids that were born handicap, if you want them normal, don't raise them handicap. For you that have lost your family through the system, don't give up, miracles still happen. For those of you that had been through sexual, physical, psychological, or any other abuse you can be healed. Many people's childhoods destroyed their adulthoods. For you this does not have to be so. Remember a quitter never wins, and a winner never quits. Last, those who say they can and those wh say they can not, are both correct.
Book Synopsis I Wouldn't Start from Here by : Andrew Mueller
Download or read book I Wouldn't Start from Here written by Andrew Mueller and published by Catapult. This book was released on 2009-01-30 with total page 551 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is a jaded rock journalist doing dodging landmines to talk to mercenaries and terrorists? And what kind of conversation can a man who prefers hunting for perfect three-minute pop songs and tubes of beer have with devotees of fasting and ferocity? Sarajevo. Jerusalem. Kabul. Belfast. Kosovo. Gaza. Basra. New York City. Every place where recent history advertises the stubbornness, intolerance, bloodlust, and cowardice that sully our collective record, there the intrepid Andrew Mueller goes, skidding around the globe from failed state to ravaged war zone to desolate no-man’s-land to try to unpick why we humans seem so prone to plucking war from the jaws of peace. En route, he meets various influential panjandrums (Al Gore, Gerry Adams, Bono, Paddy Ashdown), any number of assorted warlords and revolutionaries, and a sprinkling of peacemakers and do-gooders. He also manages to get shot at, locked up, and taken on a tour by one of the world’s most infamous terrorist organizations. It’s like a Bond film with much, much less sex, and might appear for that and other reasons to be substantially a story of disappointment. Yet it’s a surprisingly sunny book given the mire in which he finds himself.
