This book was released on 2022-07-17 with total page 600 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: the book Shawāhid al-Tanzīl li Qawāʿid al-Tafḍīl written by al-Ḥākim al-Ḥaskānī (d. 490 AH), is one of the most comprehensive books written on this subject. In this book, which is in the order of the Surahs of the Qur’an, more than 200 verses have been mentioned in connection with the merits of Imam Ali, and after each verse, one or more narrations from the eminent Companions of the Prophet have been quoted. The total number of narrations in this book is 1160. Al-Ḥākim al-Ḥaskānī is one of the most prominent Sunni scholars in the fifth century AH and was proficient in ḥadīth and rijāl, as confirmed by al-Dhahabi1 among others. As the author explains in the introduction, his motivation for writing this book was the baseless claim that no verse in the Qur’an was revealed about Imam Ali. So he proceeded to compile this book, in which he has quoted all the verses revealed about the Ahl al-Bayt in general and Imam Ali in particular, or interpreted as being in reference to them.

Book excerpt: A MEMOIR BY THE YOUNGEST RECIPIENT OF THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE As seen on Netflix with David Letterman "I come from a country that was created at midnight. When I almost died it was just after midday." When the Taliban took control of the Swat Valley in Pakistan, one girl spoke out. Malala Yousafzai refused to be silenced and fought for her right to an education. On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, when she was fifteen, she almost paid the ultimate price. She was shot in the head at point-blank range while riding the bus home from school, and few expected her to survive. Instead, Malala's miraculous recovery has taken her on an extraordinary journey from a remote valley in northern Pakistan to the halls of the United Nations in New York. At sixteen, she became a global symbol of peaceful protest and the youngest nominee ever for the Nobel Peace Prize. I AM MALALA is the remarkable tale of a family uprooted by global terrorism, of the fight for girls' education, of a father who, himself a school owner, championed and encouraged his daughter to write and attend school, and of brave parents who have a fierce love for their daughter in a society that prizes sons. I AM MALALA will make you believe in the power of one person's voice to inspire change in the world.

Eventually the diligent reader will easily recognize those places, learn about them, and take heed of them while reciting. The Atlas has also revealed obscure places we used to pass through inattentively, like the site where Nuh's Ark settled, the site of the curved Sand-hills {Al Ahqah}, the cave of the young faithful men, the houses of median, the site of Sodom and other places determined by the Atlas depending on reliable sources. Thus the Atlas eliminates all the guessing and the fantasies we used to encounter when reciting the Noble Quran, and takes us to the specific place.

Download or read book Akhenaten written by Naguib Mahfouz and published by Anchor. This book was released on 2008-11-26 with total page 177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature and author of the Cairo Trilogy, comes Akhenaten, a fascinating work of fiction about the most infamous pharaoh of ancient Egypt. In this beguiling novel, originally published in Arabic in 1985, Mahfouz tells with extraordinary insight the story of the "heretic pharaoh," or "sun king,"--the first known monotheistic ruler--whose iconoclastic and controversial reign during the 18th Dynasty (1540-1307 B.C.) has uncanny resonance with modern sensibilities. Narrating the novel is a young man with a passion for the truth, who questions the pharaoh's contemporaries after his horrible death--including Akhenaten's closest friends, his most bitter enemies, and finally his enigmatic wife, Nefertiti--in an effort to discover what really happened in those strange, dark days at Akhenaten's court. As our narrator and each of the subjects he interviews contribute their version of Akhenaten, "the truth" becomes increasingly evanescent. Akhenaten encompasses all of the contradictions his subjects see in him: at once cruel and empathic, feminine and barbaric, mad and divinely inspired, his character, as Mahfouz imagines him, is eerily modern, and fascinatingly ethereal. An ambitious and exceptionally lucid and accessible book, Akhenaten is a work only Mahfouz could render so elegantly, so irresistibly.
