As a sensitive, she shares how she paints by attuning to her subjects through the eyes and spirals out from that central point. Using historical data along with her psychic impressions, she creates empowered works of art based on sacred sites and their mythology. This book includes photos, images, and research that the public has never seen before. This is reiterated in the brilliant forward by Dr. Jean Houston. The book is divided into the four mythic lands where Cheryl lives and creates. Narnia (Northern Ireland), Lemuria (Mt. Shasta), Avalon (UK), and Bohemia (Prague, Czech Republic). There are 120 color photos and 60 color paintings and their stories. Some of the highlights include The real portrait of Mary painted by St. Luke, the actual Kingdom of Narnia, and the rarely seen ancient Lemurian petroglyphs near Mt. Shasta documented by archeologists.

Book Synopsis As Far As the Heart Can See by : Mark Nepo
Download or read book As Far As the Heart Can See written by Mark Nepo and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2011-09-01 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stories carry the seeds of our humanness. They help us, teach us, heal us, and connect us to what matters. As Far As the Heart Can See is an invitation to be in relationship with deep and life-giving material. Many spiritual gurus present dense metaphysical theses with an intellectual approach for "working" a spiritual path; poet and philosopher Mark Nepo reaches people through their hearts, bringing something fresh and new to the field by stimulating change through reflection of thoughts and feelings. The stories he shares in As Far As the Heart Can See come from many places—from Nepo's personal history to dreams to the myths of our ancestors. Each one is an invitation to awaken an aspect of living in relationship with the sacred. Following each of the forty-five stories are three forms of an invitation to further the conversation: journal questions, table questions, and meditations. The questions, whether reflected upon in a journal or discussed in deeper conversation with friends or family, are meant to lead the seeker down unimagined paths and back into life; the meditations are meant to ground the learning. These stories and parables about universal concepts and themes offer a poet's sensuality and a philosopher's sensibility to personalizing the journey of the human experience in the world.

This book was released on 2000-05 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From as far back as the 16th century, when St. Edmund Campion of England spoke of ?a great day that would reveal all men's consciences, ? a coming day of enlightenment has been foretold. Known as the ?Warning? or the ?Mini-Judgment?, it is purported to be a day in which God will supernaturally illuminate the conscience of every man, woman, and child on earth. Each person, then, would momentarily see the state of their soul through God's eyes and realize the truth of His existence, afterwhich, it is said the world will never be the same. This predicted event is now said to be imminent, as talk concerning the certainty of this miracle has intensified. This comprehensive and authoritative guide uses Scripture and testimony from the Saints and Visionaries to help explain the coming great miracle of God's Mercy.

Book Synopsis Seeing the Face, Seeing the Soul by : Simon Swain
Download or read book Seeing the Face, Seeing the Soul written by Simon Swain and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2007-03-09 with total page 712 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Polemon of Laodicea (near modern Denizli, south-west Turkey) was a wealthy Greek aristocrat and a key member of the intellectual movement known as the Second Sophistic. Among his works was the Physiognomy, a manual on how to tell character from appearance, thus enabling its readers to choose friends and avoid enemies on sight. Its formula of detailed instruction and personal reminiscence proved so successful that the book was re-edited in the fourth century by Adamantius in Greek, translated and adapted by an unknown Latin author of the same era, and translated in the early Middle Ages into Syriac and Arabic. The surviving versions of Adamantius, Anonymus Latinus, and the Leiden Arabic more than make up for the loss of the original. The present volume is the work of a team of leading Classicists and Arabists. The main surviving versions in Greek and Latin are translated into English for the first time. The Leiden Arabic translation is authoritatively re-edited and translated, as is a sample of the alternative Arabic Polemon. The texts and translations are introduced by a series of masterly studies that tell the story of the origins, function, and legacy of Polemon's work, a legacy especially rich in Islam. The story of the Physiognomy is the story of how one man's obsession with identifying enemies came to be taken up in the fascinating transmission of Greek thought into Arabic.

Book Synopsis Seeing with the Eyes of the Soul: by : Barbara Rose Centilli
Download or read book Seeing with the Eyes of the Soul: written by Barbara Rose Centilli and published by Saint Andrew's Productions. This book was released on 2008-07-01 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the centuries, man's journey on his way home to God has been characterized by many memorable and immortal events. From Noah's Ark to the Ark of the Covenant, from the Annunciation to Calvary, our salvation history is rich with people, places, promises, and extraordinary miracles. This fascinating history comes alive for each generation of God's children as the past is never more real in any area of our lives as it is in matters of religion and faith. This is especially true for Christians, because we trust in Scripture's words concerning what must come to fulfillment before the end of the world. Thus, we are always waiting, searching and hoping for God to reveal Himself and the unfolding of His plan in our lifetimes. The revelations in this book from God the Father to Barbara Centilli appear to embrace these truths and to add new understanding to the entire subject of eschatology. From new insights into the meaning of some of the promises contained in the Old and New Testaments, to a greater and more profound understanding of what Christ taught about our Eternal Father, Seeing With the Eyes of the Soul is a masterpiece of spirituality, rich and unparalleled in its impact on the reader. Most significantly, the Eternal Father's revelations to Barbara teach us how love and sin can make or break us and how love and sin will now either make or break the world. Seeing with the Eyes of the Soul also teaches us about our present life and eternity and how inevitably both are shaped and determined by the choices we make in our journey back home to The Father. This book is a stairway to that home and is destined to be a classic in Catholic mysticism.
