Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Schneider decodes the Book of Revelation, showing how the end-time events prophesied in the New Testament book correspond with the teachings of the Torah and the Hebrew prophets. You will discover how the Passover foreshadows the great tribulation, and what the Hebrew prophets reveal about the anti-Messiah, Armageddon, hell, the return of the Messiah, the millennial kingdom, heaven, and much more. As the world grows darker and darker, many people have a sense of impending doom. This book will teach you what to expect during the last days and how to stand firm in Christ even in the face of opposition.

This book was released on 2018-07-20 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work is a close look at the symbolic Seals, Trumpets and Bowls of Revelation. Several popular mainstream views are evaluated with respect to their fidelity to scripture, and the logic and believability of their end-time scenarios. Starting with defining perhaps the most important key to understanding the book of Revelation - the non-linear pattern of revelation with cycles of Introductory passages, Parenthetical passages, and Reiterative passages - the attempt is made to connect the puzzle pieces to see the very complex picture John was seeing, and was trying to paint for us. Resisting the temptation to take the easy way out by spiritualizing the mysterious details of John's descriptions, a literal approach is taken allowing for obvious symbolism when the text uses symbolic language. Surprisingly to some this most literal approach does yield a very logical and plausible scenario and picture (albeit a very dynamic and dramatic moving picture), especially when we relate what John describes, to what are now known to be scientific realities. If the book has no other value it should at least lend considerable credibility to the belief that the Bible, and the book of Revelation in particular, had to be supernaturally revealed by God to the human authors. There is no other logically viable explanation for the scientific accuracy of the details of John's descriptions, in particular with respect to the Cosmic catastrophes - the "falling stars," considering modern science is only now learning what John wrote about over 2000 years ago - before telescopes and spacecraft. This book is less a philosophical work of Theology, but more of a technical analysis of the subject matter, applying rules of logic and reason and bringing to bear knowledge of scientific fact, while also carefully examining all that the scripture tells us on the issue, without cherry-picking or eisegesis. However, the implications are clearly Theological, especially with respect to the field known as Eschatology, or End-times prophecy. This book is one of a series entitled End-time Prophecy Revisited.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monumental commentary on the book of Revelation, originally published in 1999, has been highly acclaimed by scholars, pastors, students, and others seriously interested in interpreting the Apocalypse for the benefit of the church. Too often Revelation is viewed as a book only about the future. As G. K. Beale shows, however, Revelation is not merely a futurology but a book about how the church should live for the glory of God throughout the ages -- including our own. Engaging important questions concerning the interpretation of Revelation in scholarship today, as well as interacting with the various viewpoints scholars hold on these issues, Beale's work makes a major contribution in the much-debated area of how the Old Testament is used in the Apocalypse. Approaching Revelation in terms of its own historical background and literary character, Beale argues convincingly that John's use of Old Testament allusions -- and the way the Jewish exegetical tradition interpreted these same allusions -- provides the key for unlocking the meaning of Revelation's many obscure metaphors. In the course of Beale's careful verse-by-verse exegesis, which also untangles the logical flow of John's thought as it develops from chapter to chapter, it becomes clear that Revelation's challenging pictures are best understood not by apparent technological and contemporary parallels in the twentieth century but by Old Testament and Jewish parallels from the distant past.

Book excerpt: G. K. Beale’s monumental New International Greek Testament Commentary volume on Revelation has been highly praised since its publication in 1999. This shorter commentary distills the superb grammatical analysis and exegesis from that tome (over 1,300 pages) into a book more accessible and pertinent to preachers, students, and general Christian readers. As in the original commentary, Beale views Revelation as an integrated whole, as a conscious continuation of the Old Testament prophetic books, and shows that recognizing Revelation’s nearly constant use of Old Testament allusions is key to unlocking its meaning. Interspersed throughout the volume are more than sixty sets of “Suggestions for Reflection” to help readers better grasp the relevance of Revelation to their lives and our world today.

Book excerpt: Why are the seven letters separated from the seven-year tribulation in the book of Revelation? Are the seals, trumpets, and bowls linked together for a specific purpose? Is this a shift in end-time agenda? Do the letters represent the end-time judgment of the house of God? A judgment (separation) is made between those who are prepared and ready for the judgment and those who are not, but are in need of additional refinement prior to Christ finishing the era of the gospel. Those who need additional refinement are "left behind" at the first judgment (letters) and moved into the seven-year tribulation under Jewish gospel agenda. Seals one through six are tribulation events. However, the seventh seal is not an event; it is a covering seal and inaugurates the seven trumpets. All the trumpets are linked to the seventh seal. Likewise, the seventh trumpet is not an event; beneath the seventh trumpet are the seven bowl (vials) of wrath. Completion of all the bowls are linked to the seventh trumpet. Therefore, all the trumpets and bowls of wrath are linked to the prophetic fulfillment of the seventh seal. This is an undeniable chronological presentation of end-time tribulation events in the book of Revelation. It is most important to realize there is no narrative link from the seven letters to the seals, trumpets or bowls of wrath. Why? The letters are written to the existing corporate church and the seals are written to the Jews. This is separate end-time agenda. The letters are concerned with pre-tribulation agenda and are separate from the seven-year tribulation agenda. Therefore, prior to the opening of the first seal (which begins the seven-year tribulation), Christ Jesus completes His agenda for the body of Christ and returns to the Jews with His gospel to complete their salvation. The Jews must be saved prior to the end of the gospel era in Rev. 10:7, just prior to the sounding of the seventh trumpet which ushers in the six bowls of God's wrath. Christ Jesus will bring Jew and Gentile into one body (united) prior to the time of wrath. In summation, the end-time is a time for Christ Jesus to harvest the fruit of the gospel in phases. To consummate each phase of his end-time agenda, He judges the body of Christ and harvests those who are ready to be brought into the kingdom. After seal six, the second judgment occurs at mid-trib. Those who worship God in the temple are counted and separated from those who are in the outer court (Rev. 11: 1-2). This is the Great Multitude harvest that is taken into heaven. Then the last half of the seven-year tribulation begins, which is agenda for the rule of the antichrist and the mark of the beast. The last judgment and harvest occurs after trumpets one through six. Then the last harvest occurs and the gospel era is finished. All kingdom harvesting is complete at this time. Then the time of the wrath of God begins when the seventh trumpet is sounded. Judgment of the body of Christ at the end of each phase of Christ's end-time agenda is simply a harvest of the fruit of the gospel. There's a harvest of the letters, a harvest of the seals, and a harvest of the trumpets. The letters are judgment criterion for harvesting, making a distinction between those who are ready and those who are not ready. This also means that all who could be saved are saved prior to finishing the mystery of God in Rev. 10:7. Then those who are left behind (to endure the wrath of God) are those who have heard the gospel, but refused to accept Christ's invitation to repent and enter into the kingdom. I encourage Christians to measure themselves against the wisdom of the letters to see how they will stand at the judgment. The judgment will reveal who are wise and who are foolish servants; those who have built their lives upon the foundation laid by Christ. To whom will He say, "Well done thy good and faithful servant?" Learn "what the Spirit is saying to the churches"

Book excerpt: Expository guide to Revelation that can be read as a book; used as a devotional; and utilised in teaching and preaching Many Christians are confused by the book of Revelation. It moves from strange and disturbing images to warm and practical encouragement; from the fires of Hell to wonderful pictures of a glorious eternity. And yet the message of the final book of the Bible is both clear and simple. Despite everything that is going wrong with our world, God remains in control. And when we see history, our present, and our future from heaven's perspective, it will encourage us to trust God and remain faithful to the end. This accessible, absorbing expository guide opens up this book for new and mature Christians alike. It is more applied than a typical commentary, making it a great resource for personal devotion, as well as useful for leading small group studies or sermon preparation.

As a pastor, Storms knows the questions that the typical churchgoer is asking and provides clear and accessible answers to them all, including: Is the gift of tongues for every Christian or only some? How does the gift of tongues operate in the life of the believer individually in private practice? How does the gift of tongues operate in the corporate assembly of God's church? How is the Christian edified and strengthened by praying in tongues? How do I pray for the gift and prepare my heart to receive it? You can overcome the arguments, fears, and anxieties related to this spiritual gift. Remember, God gives only good gifts, and it is His intention that His church utilize all that He has provided so that we might experience all that He is.
