Book Synopsis Blind Savior, False Prophet by : Joseph DeMarco
Download or read book Blind Savior, False Prophet written by Joseph DeMarco and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-08-19 with total page 514 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joe Kaye was an American poet, philosopher, schoolteacher, and author of 11 books. Born in New York City, Joe taught in New York, Hawaii, and Michigan. In Hawaii, he started writing and by the age of 25 he published his first manuscript. He later moved to Michigan and then to Wisconsin, where he developed a tumor which began to give him delusions. His delusions led him to construct a giant labyrinth on a tropical island. He also had an obsession with looking for a message he believed he had left for himself in a past life, in the form of a poem, song, or story. He went insane with paranoia and believed the karma police were coming to take him away. He also became obsessed with cheating death, practicing a religion called Voodoo Botany, believing it would make him a god. On a late night talk show, he made a prophecy about the extinction of the human race. He was sent to rest at Fennimore Place Institute. The maze was never finished. He died broke and penniless. What most books wont tell you about the life of Joe Kaye, The False Prophet of Fennimore Place, is that before he thought he might be the reincarnation of Mark Twain, and after he thought he was the reincarnation of Jim Morrison, he thought he might have been a very strange science fiction writer named Philip K. Dick. During the time Joe Kaye believed he might have been Philip K. Dick, he wrote a novel called Blind Savior,in whichhe not only attempted to blend all major religions (Hindu/Jewish/Buddhist/Christian/Muslim/Taoist) into one, but also attempted to say all major religions were started by the same person reincarnated again and again. He buried the story in an unknown location. The world was not ready.
Book Synopsis Walking with Our Savior by : Marv Knipfer
Download or read book Walking with Our Savior written by Marv Knipfer and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2018-11-05 with total page 498 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What can God do in a life totally devoted to walk in the footprints of our Savior? Marv Knipfer, just a simple concrete man, is a perfect example of what can happen when one is truly born again (John 3:3) and the transformation of a new heart and mind take place. I had the honor and privilege of being the wife of this wonderful man, full of love and generosity for fourteen years before God took him home. He truly was given a supernatural gift of writing, especially about the Word of God. He left behind many books he wrote just taking them to a printer in town and giving them out to family, friends, or anyone interested. The idea of sending them to a publisher never seemed to occur to him as he was just humbled to think anyone would like to read them. I personally have never seen anyone mature so rapidly in their faith, and I have been around lots of people who profess to be Christians. It was obvious it was because of his love for God and the time spent daily in the Word that caused this growth. He loved people of all ages, and they loved him back. He was always more than willing to give of his time, service, and finances to those in need. To know "Grandpa Marv" was to love him because just being around him brought one closer to Jesus who was the real One loving through him. Many lives have been touched for eternity because of this simple man, including mine! Heaven got sweeter on June 7, 2010, when he arrived home, and I am confident he heard the words he most wanted to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant." To God be the glory! Carolyn (Carol) Knipfer-Broome
Book Synopsis Maturing Within the Mystery of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior by : William M. (Marc) Semadeni
Download or read book Maturing Within the Mystery of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior written by William M. (Marc) Semadeni and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-05-04 with total page 740 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: GOD IS SUPREME, so far above us, that He must humble Himself to look upon the things that are in the earth, which may be understandable, however, He must also humble Himself before He can even behold the things that are in heaven! Our ultimate end goal is to be able to live in heaven for all of eternity, with the Father and with the Son! This hope of our desired eternal home is the place of our final rest in eternal comfort, joy and peace in His presence for our resurrected and glorified spiritual bodies! The God we worship is far greater than any of us can possibly even imagine! We sing the song “How great thou art,” however, the word “great,” or “awesome,” or any other word, is very much inadequate and far beneath our being able to describe the glory of God, because His glory is inconceivable to the human mind! God is above all, -- far above all! Before all,-- far before all! Encompassing all and possessing all, of everything! God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, all encompassing, all knowing, all powerful and answers all our concerns! He is transcendent, in that He is un-created, has always existed, is eternal and is far above His creation, He is the epitome of all perfection, righteousness, purity, holiness, peace and joy! God is all in all! There is none other like Him, nor will there ever be! The love of God is simply God’s nature!! If we would desire to have fellowship with God, we must do so within the parameters of the nature of God, being “partakers of the Divine Nature,” which is the expression of God’s pure love, which relationship has been promised to us! Jesus Christ went through the exact same things we are going through, on this earth, yet He, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcame the world and being made perfect, “as a man,” He was fully qualified to die for each one of us, taking our sins upon Himself, paying for those sins, with His blood, fulfilling the law that says “sin must die!” He endured the terrible suffering of the cruel physical pain of the cross and the horrible agony of one being temporarily, spiritually separated from God the Father, when He took our sins upon Himself, for God cannot look upon sin! Christ, unselfishly took all of that horrific terror and pain of our sin, upon Himself, all because of His deep love for each one of us! Christ, our High Priest, is the ultimate and supreme example for us to live our lives by! However, we, within the confines of our earthly minds, are not fully able to attain to His perfection! However, through the blood of Jesus Christ, “if” we have the “boldness” to enter in to the “Holiest,” we may then fully be able to be partakers of God’s Holy Spirit, which will and does lead us into our being able to be conformed to Christ’s image! This personal presence with God, can be attained by our being silent before God, waiting on Him, in humble prayer! Do you have the “faith” and the “boldness” to enter into God’s presence?
Download or read book Malta's Savior written by John Henshaw and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2024-02-16 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Holding the small island of Malta, the British Empire's strategic centerpiece in the Mediterranean Sea, was critical to the Allied cause in World War II--and taking it was essential for Axis victory. German forces laid siege to the island beginning in June 1940, and it soon became the most bombed place on Earth. By August 1942, with supplies running out, Malta was in dire need of relief. In what was then the largest Royal Navy force yet assembled in the war, two battleships, three aircraft carriers, seven light cruisers, 32 destroyers and a fleet of transports were mustered from far-flung theaters. This day-by-day account of Operation Pedestal chronicles the planning, execution and climactic battle that saw only five of 14 merchant ships make it to Valletta, all but one heavily damaged.

Book Synopsis Savior, Savior, Hold My Hand by : Piri Thomas
Download or read book Savior, Savior, Hold My Hand written by Piri Thomas and published by Graymalkin Media. This book was released on 2016-08-10 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many people write about the ghetto. Piri Thomas lived there. In this book, the author of Down These Mean Streets tells what he found when he returned from a seven year prison term. Friends dying on heroin, or getting rich selling it. Jobs he couldn’t get, not because he lacked training or ability, but because the union was open only to whites. And an indomitable aunt who brought him into her church, where he met the woman who became his wife, and where he began to take an interest in helping others. Eventually he got a job working with street children—helping them find highs other than drugs, trying to cool rivalries fueled by frustration, persuading gang leaders to surrender weapons originally intended for bloody street battles. But even with success came bitter disappointments. Pervasive discrimination forced Thomas and his family to give up a suburban home. And an appalling hypocritical and selfish boss forced him out of his job—and almost back into prison. Piri Thomas writes of these experiences with unselfish candor and compassion. He pictures the poverty and squalor as well as the spirit and vitality of the ghetto in a dramatic story that is blunt, painful, absorbing and profoundly moving.
